Treating your fur baby like my own
I've always loved dogs! As a dog-owner myself, I know the stress of leaving a pet at home, both during the workday and on when on vacation, but also what it's like to have the peace of mind that comes with a trustworthy pet sitter. I love giving pet parents that security of knowing their baby is happy and safe while they're away. I have cared for dogs ranging from the puppy stage to senior years. I have experience providing medical care to dogs ranging from post-surgical care such as monitoring for adverse reactions to anesthesia, to facilitating recovery from ACL repair surgery by providing heat/ice to the affected leg and following surgeon's orders for increasing walk length on a variety of terrains to help the dog regain muscle strength. Most recently, I have cared for a senior dog who was partially deaf and had arthritis. That experience taught me to intentionally stay in his eyesight, and to tailor the pace and length of walks and playtime to meet his gait and energy level.

Safety, trust & environment
I only walk dogs in a escape-proof device such as a Martindale or chain ("choke") collar. I will not walk a dog in a flat collar or harness, even if the device is advertised as 'escape proof' or the dog does not have a history of escaping. This is for my peace of mind as well as yours, and for the safety of your fur baby. In addition, when I am walking your dogs, they are my first priority. I am not on my phone so I can pay attention to my surroundings and the dogs in order to maximize safety for both of us. Finally, to make my time with your fur baby as positive as possible, I require a meet and greet with you and your pet before coming to care for them by myself.

Bethany and I met at our church, but we bonded quickly over our mutual love of dogs, and we now train with the same dog trainer. I've watched her persist with her young golden retriever for two years now, with a level of patience and consistency that says a lot about her character. Her care for animals also shows in how she's encouraged me in my own work with my dogs. That same compassion carries over into how she treats people — she pays close attention to detail and genuinely wants the best for everyone, two-legged or four, in her life. She's also a clear communicator who follows through on her word. I wouldn't hesitate to trust Bethany with my dogs, or with myself, if the need ever arose.
Bethany is one of the sweetest human beings I know and AMAZING with dogs! Her own dogs are wonderful to be around, and she has watched my dog Maple multiple times when I've gone out of town. Maple just loves going over to Bethany's house and I just love the peace of mind I have from knowing Maple is in such capable and loving hands. You and your pooch will love Bethany!!

Schedule
My full-time work allows me to be available on a variety of weekdays, evenings, and weekends. Depending on the day, I am either very flexible and can come whenever your pup needs me, or am more limited with evening-only availability. So just ask!
