Hi, My name is Bethany. I have been a pet owner for most of my life (a dog, fish, and chickens!) and I have worked as a house sitter and pet sitter for friends both locally and out of state since 2019. I have plenty of weeknight and weekend availability to care for your pet so please feel free to reach out to me. I have detailed below what you can expect from Rover and from me: Please take some time to familiarize yourself with what I offer as well as the fee structure I have set and my cancellation policy and associated fees. Each sitter has the ability to set their own custom fees and hours and range in which they are willing to travel. I also regularly update my Rover calendar with my available dates. When I receive a message that you are considering booking with me, I will read it and if I am able and willing, I will send you a booking request in response. If I am not able to book with you, I will decline the booking request. You must input your address or Rover will not allow me to send you a booking request. Upon sending you a booking request, Rover allows you 72 hours to decide if you want to book with me. It is in this timeframe that we should meet up for the initial consultation to see if it is a good fit. If it is a good fit and you decide to book with me, Rover requires you to pay for the entire service up front. Payment is released to me a few days after the stay is completed. I have set my rate to reflect my time, mileage, and 20% fee Rover takes per stay. Please note that after the 72 hours pass, if I receive no response or no consultation has occurred, I will not resend the booking request. Due to the volume of inquiries I receive, I will give priority as “first come, first serve”. My goal is 100% response to everyone who reaches out to me and I will do my best to accommodate my clients. In the event that more than one person asks me to care for their pet(s) at the same time, I will choose whoever has booked first and notify the other person that I must decline for this reason. I have in my settings that I would like 2 weeks notice before booking a stay. I will consider a last minute booking but please note that the rate is higher for last minute accommodations. A daytime stay that is less than 24 hours long will still result in the same charge as my usual rate. I charge by the day in full 24 hour increments. (Currently the only service I offer is house sitting. If you would like someone who offers dog walking or who provides day visits, there are many other Rover sitters who offer this service who will be glad to work for you.) I will only add a booking to my Rover calendar after it has been confirmed so as to give the opportunity to others who are serious about booking. I do not work on standby. Anyone who chooses to book with someone else or have a friend or someone else watch their pet for them after reaching out to me, having hopefully already calculated the cost upfront, will be blocked. Alternatively, anyone who reaches out with no follow through in a reasonable amount of time will be archived as “owner did not respond”. I reserve in my sole discretion to block and/or report any and all suspicious or threatening users. I will always bring another person with me to the initial “meet and greet”. If the pet owner is not able to meet up beforehand, for instance they are traveling from out of town to stay in a hotel setting and I am to house sit there, I will determine upon arriving on site if it is workable for me (safe).
