Services
Bethany can care for
Availability
I currently work part time, 5 hours a day, in either the evenings or the mornings, depending on what day of the week it is. While I am available and more than happy to look after your pets while you are temporarily away, such as for a vacation/business trip, I am currently unable to provide regular, long term care.

While at a client's house, I prefer to keep to the pet's normal routine as much as possible as disruption can cause stress. So please let me know how you take care of your pets at home, what their daily routine is line, and how they spend their time so I can make sure they can be as stress free as possible while you are away.
Information Bethany C. would like to know about your pet
I have the most experience with small dogs, but I don't have any restrictions on breed or size. Before sitting/walking a dog, I would like to know what the dog is like. Do they walk easy on a leash or pull? Do they require special equipment like a harness over a collar, a wheelchair, etc? For all pets, I like to know if they are pet/people friendly? Do they require special medical care or medication? Do they have any issues that I need to be aware of, such as medical diagnoses like diabetes? What veterinarian can I call if needed and do I have permission to authorize care and use a form a payment? What are their favorite activities, toys, and treats? If you both venture outside the house, where do you normally take them? Do they have a favorite place to be touched/scratched or do they not like to be handled much?
A typical day
I love going to local parks and walking through them. For dog parks, I prefer that they have strict guidelines and rules such as making sure pets are fully vaccinated and dog/people friendly as this helps ensure the safety and health of pets using the park. If your dog enjoys playing games like fetch or rope tug, please let me know as I love seeing pets really having fun and letting off their energy in positive ways. For cats, please let me know their favorite toys, treats, and how they like people outside of their immediate family. Cats have a much different dynamic than dogs, so looking after them is a lot different.

Vet Tech Skills and Loving Care
Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Bethany and I have been caring for animals for my entire life. I even made a career out of it for a decade! Including schooling, I was in the animal care field from 2010 to 2014 and was a registered veterinary technician from 2014 to 2022, after which I pursued other career interests. If your pet has special needs, especially medical, I am equipped with the knowledge and skill to make sure your pet is well taken care of. My prices reflect the loving expertise I will show your pet while caring for them. While I am available and more than happy to look after your pets while you are temporarily away, such as for a vacation/business trip, I am currently unable to provide regular, long term care. If you would like services in addition to those listed here (nail trims, ear cleaning, anal gland expression, bathing/brushing, etc) please ask! I am a strong advocate of rescue/adoption, Fear Free techniques, and positive reinforcement training, however my passion lies in helping senior pets with hospice care. My first dog, Chewie, was diagnosed with cancer and I discovered this passion while caring for him in his final year. Currently, I have adopted a rescued puppy mill mama Yorkie named Rey and a Miniature Schanuzer named Wicket. However, I have experience caring for a whole range of animals including cats, rabbits, pocket pets, and exotics.
Reviews

Bethany is a great caregiver. My cat loves her visits !

Always a great walk with Bethany! She looks out for Nova's needs. Nova is always excited to see Bethany for her walk!

Great, thank you so much

Last Wednesday walk went great. Nova and Bethany are continuing to bond. Nova loved meeting new people on their walk, tail wagging! Bethany sent great pictures.
