Our home is open to dogs that love cats and kids
I’ve had dogs all my life. Growing up on a farm I have always been surrounded by animals and at least 2/3 dogs minimum. Most recently we had our own rescue dog who had a variety of health and behavioural needs. But we managed to train him up, build his confidence and he led a happy life. Unfortunately he has now passed away and we made the decision with two young kids not to tie ourselves down to having a dog full time; so this seemed like a perfect solution. I love the idea of my kids growing up around dogs and animals; they are already used to all my extended families dogs, including two Rhodesian Ridgebacks, so they are used to big dogs. Rest assured there will be plenty of cuddles and attention for any dogs that stay with us. I work from home full time and we have plenty of space in the house and the garden.

Unfortunately, not a good experience with this sitter, leaving me concerned for my dogs’ welfare. Our booking was cancelled partway through after our dogs displayed behaviours that are completely out of character for them. Throughout the stay, I felt I was constantly having to manage and resolve issues remotely, despite paying for their care. When they peed in the house, I immediately accepted responsibility and willingly sent £405 towards professional cleaning for the two nights they stayed. Despite this, I felt there was poor management of the situation overall, and it ultimately escalated to the point where we had to arrange costly alternative care at very short notice, leaving me over £1000 out of pocket for a 2 night stay given the £220 sitting fee and £400 I was charged for cleaning. We had no issues whatsoever with the new sitter, which made the contrast particularly concerning. Had we not been able to arrange alternative accommodation, we would have been left in an extremely difficult position abroad. The sitter’s profile led me to believe she had a certain level of experience with dogs which unfortunately wasn’t apparent.
Beth and her family didn't just provide excellent care for Saffie, they made her a part of the family giving her lots of love and attention, plenty of exercise and little adventures, and made her feel really at home during her stay. We would recommend to anyone and will definitely be our go-to second home in this area 👌😎
Had a great experience as Beth looked after our mini dachshund pawfluencers (@haroldthehappyhotdog YouTube) including our clingy puppy but Beth did a great job knowing how to look after them and sent lots of update pics - definitely recommend as a dog sitter!
Beth looked after our dog Rusty so well, he was very energetic and she took him for such lovely walks to tire him out! Would absolutely recommend sending your pets to her!

Schedule
I work full time at home and am off work every Friday. Weekends tend to be orientated around getting the kids outside; which generally includes going out on their bikes, round the woods and on walks.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced in garden and am happy to accommodate to any rules/ boundaries you prefer to set. We are a fairly relaxed and flexible family and our main priority is making sure both kids and dogs alike are safe, looked after and happy.
Pets
A typical day
We are a very active family, we go out on family walks every day and I personally run 3-5 times a week as well. We also have access to my parents farm where there are acres of fenced in fields to run around and play as well.

- We do have two young children ages 2 and 4 so the dogs that come to our house will need to be familiar with children and or have had no history of behavioural issues. We also have cats so it would be useful if the dog is used to cats being around as well. If there is any food aggression this would be helpful to know so I can ensure they are fed separately and no treats will be given around the kids.
