For the love of a dog!...
I love animals of all kinds, with a special love of dogs. For 35 years I cared for my own big dogs- two Saint Bernards and two Newfoundlands. For 3 years I have been caring for customer's pets through Rover.com. I have experience with feeding, giving medications, handling anxiety, bad hips and mobility issues. I have trained 4 dogs for good leash behavior, and work on it with all dogs that I board. I have provided dog and cat care for our lakeside neighborhood during vacations, trips away, winery tour days, etc., and have been a Rover sitter for approximately 50 pets over a three year period, some becoming repeated/regular stays. I'd rather spend my day with animals than people!

This was our first time using Rover and we are so glad we found Beth. We had the same dog sitter for 20 years, but she retired and we were nervous about finding a new one. Beth was great right from the start. She immediately responded to my inquiry and set up a date to meet. It was clear from the beginning she understood dogs. She was very calm and sweet with our lab Lily. We later left Lily for a long weekend which turned into a very cold, heavy snow few days! Beth made sure Lily still had long, daily walks and fun rolls in the snow. She sent us daily photos and even a video of Lily playing catch which is one of her favorite things to do. We ended up having our flight canceled due to the storm and Beth was so great about keeping her an extra day relieving us of a lot of worry. Lily had a great time during her stay and we will definitely be back again! Thanks so much Beth.
Beth has watched our dog a few times now - every time she gives a daily update complete with photos. Our pup comes home happy every trip - recommend Beth to all!
Beth and Tom were like family to Olivia ... she was so relaxed and comfortable with them in their home. They were obviously conscientious in following all of Olivia's usual routines ... wanting to care for her in the best way possible. Beth sent some great pictures ... and we loved seeing Olivia so content. She was a happy camper! :) We/she would love to board with Beth and Tom again! Thank you much!!
Our dog had an amazing vacation week with Beth! Beth accommodated all of our dog’s (many!) needs with an easygoing grace that put our minds at ease straight off the bat. She kept in touch the whole week with pictures and updates. We plan to visit again!! Thank you Beth!

Schedule
I am a retired teacher. I taught elementary and middle school children for 33 years. I am now available any day and time. I do not have to work around another job. The pets I accept become part of the family for a day, or a week, or as long as you need. I only take the pets of one family at a time, so they are treated like they were at home.

Safety, trust & environment
I live on Lamoka Lake, in Bradford, NY. I am able to provide day care while you go out to do touristy things, or boarding for a trip or vacation! I am available to do any length boarding (from one day to 2 weeks or more) in my home. My home is clean and clutter free, and has waterproof vinyl floors throughout. I have miles of quiet roads to walk dogs, and a dock and a ramp to the lake if your dog likes to swim. Dogs live in our home as if they were our own. If you allow furniture or bed use, dogs have the same access here. If needed, I have two large indoor crates and a huge indoor/outdoor kennel. Access to my home can be by normal steps, or custom made special steps or ramp for older or handicapped dogs. I am happy to take kittens or cats as well. I am ready and able to give undivided love and care to your pet, with photos and updates to you.
A typical day
I love to cuddle with dogs (or cats)on the sofa, watch TV, play ball and frisbee, sit out on the front deck, or take long walks by the lake.
