Hello, my name is Beth! I have been a dog lover and care giver all my life, and have 14 years of experience in pet services, and a bachelors degree in Conservation Biology. I worked at a dog boarding facility once upon a time, and frankly, I didn't like the quantity over quality approach. I prefer to give my fur babies as much love and attention as they deserve, individually. In fact, I have so much love to give, I've decided to share some of that expert love with your cuddle critters! Also, I have been working as a professional groomer for seven years and just love working and interacting with animals of all kinds! Your pet will be loved just like my own and receive plenty of loving, interaction and premium toys and treats. Our home is the place to be if you have 4 paws a wet nose and big heart! Dogs can grab a treat or a drink in the kitchen, snuggle up on an oversize dog bed in any of the rooms, or just lounge in the sun of my large fenced backyard. The possibilities are endless in this tail wagging retreat! Just in case of those emergency situations I am less than 2.5 miles from a 24 hour emergency vet clinic. I offer a discount on multiple dogs and I am a professional groomer so let me know if you'd like your pup cleaned up or nails done before pickup! About this sitter: I previously worked at a corporate dog boarding facility and honestly was not comfortable with the pets only coming out of cages for 2 short walks per day unless the owners paid more for play times. When I go out of town I know my pets are better off and more comfortable in my own home than in some facility, they eat better, they can stick to their routine and all their toys and treats are here, So I'm sure your pets are the same way! Plus for in your home boarding they will be there wagging their tails the second you get back home! I would come by 2 times per day at a minimum and try to keep your pets as comfortable and as close to their normal schedule that they would normally have if you were home with them. I do also offer dog boarding in my home as well for more constant interaction, and I have some small little companions to keep your dogs busy as well! Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover my entire life and have had dogs in my life since I was born! We always had at least 1 dog as a family pet and as soon as I was living on my own I got my own dogs, fostered and placed rescue dogs and began working with them in my professional life as well (as a dog groomer!) I can't imagine not having dogs! About my yard We have a very nice sized fully fenced backyard that is primarily grass with rocks around the perimeter. We also have a covered patio and some nice shade trees. We do have a garden but that is fenced off to the pups but there is plenty of other areas to run! My experience administering medication Since I have interacted with many dogs over many years I have experience with medicating them as well. Everything from pills, ointments, sprays to sub q fluids.
