CARING FOR YOUR DOG AT MY HOME: Care includes feeding, walks, brushings, belly rubs, lots of pets and kisses, lots of toys to play with, and trips to the dog park if your dog likes dog parks. Can also provide down time for dogs who can get overwhelmed. I can administer oral medications as needed. I have a crate for your pup so you do not need to bring yours. It is cleaned and disinfected after each pup leaves. I allow dogs on the furniture and bed as long as they are potty trained and don't eat furniture. But if your pet is not allowed on furniture at home, I will keep those same rules in my house so your pup does not get confused. When I have dogs in the car, they are in the backseat and seat-belted in. HOUSE SITTING IN YOUR HOME: I am happy to care for 1-4 dogs in your home but please know that my dog Jemma would come with me. I’m also happy to care for other animals such as reptiles, small mammals, and birds for an additional fee to be agreed upon. DROP IN VISITS FOR YOUR CAT: I am happy to do drop in visits with your cat for feeding, medication, and cuddles (if they like them). I do not do overnights for cats. Sorry.

Information Beth R. would like to know about your pet

I would love to know about your pet and their needs! Do they like going to the dog park? Do they have a favorite scratchy place? Do they eat special foods, have a sensitive stomach, or need medications? Do they resource guard? Are they treat or toy motivated? I also want to know your vet information and emergency vet (in the unlikely event that that was needed).

A typical day

For pups, weekdays start with an early morning potty break, some love and kisses and belly rubs, then breakfast followed by a minimum 30 minute morning walk. A little playtime in my apartment while I prep an enrichment toy for your dog and mine. Your dog will be settled into the crate if that is your preference, or can roam my apartment with my dog as long as they are not chewers of furniture, and given their enrichment toy. I come home at lunchtime for a potty break, playtime, and a treat before I go back to work. After work, will be a potty walk, dinner, then either a long evening walk or a trip to the dog park for an hour or more. Weekends start with an early morning potty break, some love and kisses and belly rubs, then breakfast followed by a outing to 1000 acres (if they are good off leash) or a long dog park visit or a hike. Playtime and downtime during the day, and enrichment toys as needed. More snuggles and built in playmate, my dog Jemma, who loves all dogs. Photos of your dog's adventures and downtime with me and Jemma will be shared with you throughout your dog's stay.

Pet care experience

Hi! I'm Beth. I’ve owned medium and large dogs my entire life. At one point I had three 90+ pound dogs which made me so happy! I have cared for high energy, playful, lazy, elderly, anxious, and special needs dogs. I have trained three of my dogs, and even though I’m not a professional trainer, I’m happy to support any training your pup is working on. I DO NOT take dogs who have not been house broken/potty trained. I also have had two cats (a Calico and a Manx). I am able to do drop in visits for cats, but no overnights.

Beth took good care of our old-lady recluse cat: didn't see the cat, but reported food eaten, etc.

Beth was amazing! We have an older dog and a new rescue dog that we had never left before. Beth was responsive and understanding. Our dogs were well taken care of and I was totally at ease on my vacation. Would highly recommend!

Beth has cared for my pack twice and I hope will continue to do so in the future. I have 4 dogs and she has handled all of their different personalities with patience and care. My 14 year old Gracie sometimes needs hand feeding, and Beth managed that without a problem. I trust her completely.
