I work hybrid and am flexible with my schedule. I work from home generally M/W/F and am generally much more flexible those days. I am in the office Tues/Thurs but generally only gone up to 6 hours at a time. Much of my work is event based, so there are also times evenings/weekends I will need to be gone, but generally 3-4 hours. In general 6 hours would be the max time between potty breaks, etc. I am currently only available to sit in your home or for drop in visits (we have a full house with our fosters).

I will treat your home as a guest in it; I’m tidy and will clean up after me and your pets! What is helpful for me to know is what your pet’s typical day looks like, if they have any favorite or important parts to their routine, and ways they like to get stimulation (walk, play, puzzles). Where do they sleep? As much information as you can tell me about your pet is better so I can keep things as normal for them as possible!

Any quirks your pet has I should know about? Whenever possible, I’d like to visit your home and meet your pet(s) in advance before we confirm so we can go through your pet’s needs and they can meet me!
A typical day
If your dog enjoys them, I love to go for dog walks. I’ve walked shelter dogs and am comfortable with varying personalities on leash. If they are really active and up for it, we can also go for a run together! Otherwise we can play in the yard or the house, cuddle on the couch, whatever your dog enjoys! Please note all outdoor activities (except potty breaks) depend on the weather! If it’s too hot, cold, etc we will stay entertained indoors

Pet care experience
I grew up with dogs, and have had dogs and a cat of my (our) own for nearly 12 years. I have also fostered dogs and cats for the past decade (~30 animals), and am comfortable with many types of animal personalities, including reactivity, shyness, and anxiety. I will meet your pet where they’re at, and let them lead our interactions. Currently have 2 senior dogs and am comfortable with medication administration.

Beth is an animal lover through and through. In addition to caring for her own pets, she has been a dedicated foster of cats and dogs for many years. She has cared for animals with a variety of medical and behavioral needs, and she really puts in the time and effort to gain their trust and understand their needs. Beth has looked after my dog many times, and I always know that he’s getting walks, stimulation, and lots of snuggles. I've known Beth since we went to undergrad together over 15 years ago. Our shared love for animals is among the many reasons we remain close friends. In addition to providing exceptional care to her own pets, Beth dedicates much of her free time to volunteering as a dog walker with Minneapolis Animal Care and Control and fostering for local rescues. This experience makes her confident when meeting new animals and competent to care for those with more complex behavior or medical needs. Whether it's a leisurely stroll with plenty of stops and sniffs along the way, or a quick jog to burn off some puppy energy, she'll ensure your pet gets the most out of their time together. Beth is the friendly and reliable person you want looking after your pet while you're away.
Beth has watched our dogs on multiple occasions and we couldn’t be happier with her services (and neither could our pups). When they see her pulling up to the house they are ecstatic to see her. She has dropped in on them, walked them, and stayed overnight and does an exceptional job every time. She sends us plenty of updates with photos, and treats our dogs as her own. We always have peace of mind when they are in her care. One of our pups has a few extra medical conditions, which Beth treats with nothing but patience and attentiveness. She has an extensive history in pet care, and it shows in her exceptional attention to detail with our pups. I would highly recommend Beth with all of your dog sitting needs!
