Beth can care for
Availability
I am currently completing my in person mentorships at an animal hospital and my availability varies. I work full-time remotely with a semi- flexible work schedule, Monday through Friday. I am able to make drop-in visits or walks on the weekdays. I am usually free on the weekends as well. **Please note that I cannot commit to everyday afternoon services. I am happy to fill in for another walker, but I cannot commit to reoccurring, daily walks/drop-ins at this time. Thank you!

About Beth P.

Safety, trust & environment
As I will not be boarding pets or staying in clients home, I will make sure the pet is as comfortable and as safe as they’d be with their own parents when I make drop-in visits.
Information Beth P. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your pet has any special accommodations like triggers, medications, allergies, favorite toys/treats, etc. I’m willing to do meet and greets before so your pet is as comfortable as needed!
A typical day
Some fun activities I have done while pet sitting include playing hide and seek with a toy, making stuffed kongs or lick mats (as long as approved by the owner). Of course, I love to go on walks especially on nature paths or trail like a nearby forest preserve.

Veterinary Tech Student & Pet Lover
Pet care experience
I’ve been a dog lover my entire life and have been caring for pets since I was 12. I became a cat lover during the pandemic and it’s safe to say I’m obsessed with cats now! I studied pre-veterinary medicine in college with the hopes of going to veterinary school. However, after college I worked as a dog walker in the suburbs for a bit and then moved to Chicago to work as a veterinary assistant. I then moved into the corporate world and worked as a Pet Insurance Supervisor for 3 years. I now work in business development for a veterinary corporation. I am currently attending the Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine’s program for Veterinary Nursing online to obtain my license. I am trained in Dog and Cat CPR and have extensive experience with administering medication, subcutaneous fluids, and other medical equipment. I’m extremely comfortable dealing with any size/breed/temperament. I have a cat and dog of my own, so I am unable to board any animals. I am able to make drop-in visits and complete walks. I can’t wait to meet your pet!

Reviews

Beth takes great care of my cats every time!
Beth did a great job with our cat, responds quickly to messages, and was kind to bring in packages that arrived while we were away.

Very communicative, kind, and sweet to our cat! Thank you for watching him and giving him pets. Hope to work with Beth in the future!

Beth’s the best!
