Safety, trust & environment

I care for pets in their home because that is were they are most comfortable. Home ownership has been a part of my whole adult life. Caring for pets and a home is second nature. I have replaced every major appliance and had issues with all the major systems of a home, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, security, and carpentry. Through my work as a sitter, I have dealt with plumbing, ground water, and electrical issues. I will keep your home clean, neat, and safe. I am respectful of other people’s property. If you have a security system, I will use it. Safety is always the most important priority. Not just for your home but also your pet. I don’t drink, smoke, do drugs or drama. I like to take photos and/or videos of your pets to send to you when you are away. The images will help you keep in touch with your furry friend(s) and set your mind at ease.

Information Beth M. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know if your pet has any preferences in any part of their life: eating, play, sleeping etc. It would be helpful to know their general routine and how flexible they are. I would like to know your veterinarian’s phone number and any other emergency contact information. If I can help reinforce any changes you are working on with your pet, for example, not pulling when going on walks. How your dog communicates that they need to go outside. Does your pet have any special needs, like medications or help going up and down stairs. How often do you usually clean the litter box and change out the litter entirely. What commands do you use with your pet, so I can use the same commands to be consistent.

A typical day

I will want to get to know your pet individually and know what he/she needs to be happy. We will want to do some physical activity, for example: going for a walk to check out the sights and smells of the neighborhood, playing fetch, playing with toys and/or going to the dog park. And also some relaxing time to snuggle, petting and grooming.

Pet care experience

I have cared for pets since I was a little girl. I have dispensed medication, cared for aging animals, and applied first aid to canines. I’ve sat for greyhounds, Labrador retrievers, papillons and a variety of dogs large to small. It is fun discovering new sights and smells on a walk with a new four legged friend. I focus on each dog and give them what they need to be happy. It maybe long walks, fetching, playing with toys or snuggling on the couch. Their happiness is my goal.

Beth has watched my animals several times. She takes very good care of them. She exercises my dog, is very comfortable with the dog and the dog loves her. I also have two cats that enjoy her presence. Beth also noticed one of the cats was sick and took her into the vet. Thankfully it turned out that Beth was correct and the cat got the proper treatment. I would highly recommend Beth for the care of your animals. She is prompt, caring, and dedicated to here work.

Beth has watched over and cared for our American Eskimo dog several times when we were out of town for the day. Our dog warmed up to her right away, Beth is gentle, has a calming voice, likes to sit with our dog and give him a gentle rub or scratch. She sent us video of their walks so we could see that he was getting exercised as we requested. Beth was a great dog sitter and I highly recommend her.

I’m happy to recommend Beth as a fantastic pet sitter. We trusted her with our cats and home while we were in Australia for 3 weeks, and she did an amazing job. She was very attentive and followed all instructions closely, including giving one of our cats a daily oral medication by syringe. She also took great care of our Maine Coon by regularly brushing his coat, and she spent plenty of time playing with our wild kitten, keeping him happy, engaged, and well behaved. Beth was tidy, kept the house clean, and communicated consistently throughout our time away. She frequently texted us updates and sent pictures, which we really appreciated and found reassuring. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Beth to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and communicative pet sitter. We would absolutely trust her again.
