Hello, my name is Carolyn Herman (nee. Kovacs) My sisters and I lived our entire childhood lives at one residence in suburban, Ohio. My sister, Beth, was the animal lover, bird watcher, wildflower, and tree identifier, and a nurturing big sister. We had two feline fur babies, we all loved. I remember her begging for years before we got our first dog. Unlike most girls, her age, who promise to take care of all the maintenance and care, then soon grow disinterested, my sister embraced every aspect of taking care of her new dog. She fed, trained, loved and groomed her. Considering she was a long haired collie, it was a high maintenance job to be sure! To make matters more complicated, before we could have her spayed she went into heat, and Neighbor‘s dog was happy to oblige unbeknownst to any of us. Needless to say, my mom was not very happy about that. However, Beth took care of everything, including helping the dog, give birth . She had nine puppies. The last one was presumably a stillborn, however, Beth knew what to do . She rubbed and bumped, massaged and helped the puppy get its mucus out and he survived and thrived! I am happy to say all nine puppies were placed in good homes and I got to keep one too! I was five years younger, so Beth taught me and showed me how to do everything to help me be a mom to my new dog. I can say with 100% certainty, there is no one I would rather have look after my furry family members then my sister Beth. I don’t think that is bias, it comes from decades of experience. To this day, every time we talk on the phone, she asks me how my dog Henry Higgins is doing. It’s just second nature to her. Thank you for your consideration, Carolyn J Herman
