I’ve been surrounded by animals all my life — from cats and dogs to hamsters and more. Having recently said goodbye to my much‑loved, beautiful cat, I truly cherish the joy pets bring every day. With years of experience caring for both dogs and cats, I currently look after my sweet (and a little mad!) Springer Spaniel, Skye. I enjoy fun walks, playtime, and providing any special care your fur babies may need, including daily medication with the addition of being totally pampered. What sets me apart: I believe every pet deserves love, comfort, fun, and plenty of attention. Whether it’s a lively walk, a cozy cuddle, or extra care, I treat each animal like family — making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away.

We had excellent communication with Bernie from the start, and felt confident to entrust her with our cats. She looked after our Francesca and Bertie very well which put our minds at ease while we were away. Bernie showed diligence by asking for clarifications about their feeding, and we got lots of photos showing the kitties happy, relaxed and in playful mood, and Bernie also clearly enjoying their company.
If possible, I would give 6 stars. Bernie and her family are amazing humans. All very kind and nice to the dog and to my family too. She gave me timely and frequent updates with photos, what kept me relaxed during my holidays. It is very clear that my dog was happy with her good walks, patience with my grumpy old baby boy and a big smile all the time. Will certainly book again soon if she is available.

Bernie is friendly, easy going and flexible around visit times. She takes time to get to know your pet’s routine, likes and habits. She send daily updates with pics and videos, very reassuring for an anxious mum a long way away! Very pleased to have found her as she treats your pet like her own with lots of fuss and cuddles. Highly recommended
Bernie was fantastic with my lab Rossa. She and her partner looked after her really well and you could see how much they enjoyed having her. Lots of updates and photographs too. Would definitely recommend.
Can’t recommend Bernie enough! She went over and above to keep me updated and my cat was extremely well looked after. Reliable, responsive and a true pet lover! It was great knowing he was being so well looked after. Would rate 10/10 if I could! We will definitely be using Bernie every time we go away if she’s available.

I’ve recently finished work and now have the time and energy to devote to spending my days looking after dogs, cats, and other furry friends! There’s nothing I enjoy more than filling my days with walks, playtime, and cuddles. Whether it’s daily visits, overnight stays, or just some extra attention, I’m flexible and ready to adapt to your pet’s need.

I offer a cozy, safe environment for pets in my home, with a closed-in garden for plenty of outdoor play and exploration. I ensure each pet feels comfortable and relaxed, following their routine with walks, playtime, and cuddles. Whether in your home or mine, I treat your pet like my own, providing loving care and attention throughout the day.
Pets
A typical day
If I were caring for your precious baby, I’d tailor activities to their energy level, age, and personality. For dogs, that could mean engaging walks with plenty of games like fetch or tug-of-war, or simple training exercises to stimulate their minds. Active dogs might enjoy agility games or scent trails, while more relaxed dogs would get gentle play and lots of affection, cuddles & love. For cats, I’d create a mix of play, comfort, cuddles and stimulation suited to their needs. Playful cats might enjoy chasing feather wands, exploring new toys, or climbing cat trees. Quieter or senior cats would get cozy window-watching time, gentle grooming if they enjoy it, and soft spots to nap in. Whether energetic or calm, I would ensure they are happy and comfortable and with lots & lots of cuddles.
