Pet care is a natural part of my daily and weekly routine. I plan my schedule to make sure pets get consistent attention, whether it’s regular walks, feeding times, play, or check-ins. I’m used to early mornings for feeding or bathroom breaks, and I’m flexible with evening routines like walks, medication, or just spending time giving them love and attention. I treat pet care like a priority, not a task—because I know how much pets depend on structure, consistency, and companionship.

Safety, trust & environment
Whether I’m caring for pets in my own home or in a client’s home, safety and trust are always my top priorities. I follow any instructions carefully—whether it’s feeding schedules, medications, walking routines, or behavior guidelines. I make sure the environment is calm, pet-safe, and comfortable, with plenty of love and supervision. I keep an eye on things like open doors, toxic foods, or anything that could pose a risk. In a client’s home, I respect their space and aim to keep their pet’s routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I also send updates and photos, so families feel confident knowing their pet is safe, happy, and well cared for.
Information Bernice M. would like to know about your pet
Before caring for any pet, it’s really important for me to know their routine, personality, and any special needs. Things like: Do they have allergies or medications? Are there triggers I should avoid—like loud noises or certain dogs? How do they handle being alone? Are they fully house-trained or still learning? I also like to know their feeding schedule, favorite toys, how they do on walks, and what comforts them when they’re anxious. Every pet is different, and knowing the little details helps me give them the best, most loving care possible.
A typical day
“A typical day with the pets I watch includes a mix of play, care, and companionship—tailored to their energy level and personality. For dogs, we’ll start with a walk or potty break, followed by playtime—fetch, tug-of-war, or just running around the yard. If they’re active, we’ll go on longer walks or have training sessions using positive reinforcement. For calmer or senior pets, I’ll keep things slower with gentle play, cuddles, and quiet companionship. Throughout the day, I keep them mentally stimulated with puzzle toys, treat games, or simple tricks. I also make sure they have clean water, meals on schedule, and lots of love. My goal is to keep them happy, engaged, and feeling safe while their family is away.
