Dog Guy You Can Actually Count On
I’ve loved and raised two very different dogs, and both taught me a lot about patience, trust, and understanding what each dog needs. Boomer was a big, rambunctious Labradoodle who I raised from just 8 weeks old. I went through all the puppy stages with him—from the endless energy and learning boundaries to helping him grow into a happy, well-adjusted adult dog. Allie came into my life at around 2 years old as a very shy and timid rescue who had clearly been through some difficult experiences. Earning her trust took time, patience, and a much gentler approach. Watching her become more comfortable, confident, and affectionate was incredibly rewarding. Because of them, I’m comfortable with everything from energetic puppies and big dogs to nervous or shy dogs who need a little extra patience. I know every dog has their own personality, and I try to meet them where they are and make them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for.

Ratings and reviews
Ben is absolutely amazing with dogs! As long as I've known him (15+years) he's had at least 1 dog if not 2 and they have always been extremely well trained and behaved. He's very familiar with how the dog psyche works and knows how to handle all kinds of dog personalities. I think my own dog may have liked him more than me. You won't go wrong trusting your furry family member with Ben!

Schedule
I work from home, so pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine and my schedule is extremely flexible. I’m able to be around throughout the day for walks, potty breaks, playtime, meals, or just some company on the couch. After losing both of my dogs, Boomer and Allie, there’s definitely been a hole in my everyday life. I miss having dogs around—the walks, the goofy moments, and honestly just having that companionship while I’m working from home. Rover gives me a chance to have some of that back while helping other people feel comfortable knowing their dog is with someone who genuinely wants them around. Because I work from home, I can be very flexible with days and times and can give your dog plenty of attention rather than having them fit around a busy work schedule.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
Safety and trust come first for me. I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog—and your home—in someone else’s care, so I take that responsibility seriously. I’ll follow your dog’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, crate routines, and any house rules you have. I’m also happy to take things slowly with shy or nervous dogs and let them get comfortable with me on their own terms. Because I work from home and have a flexible schedule, I’m able to give dogs plenty of attention and supervision instead of leaving them alone for long stretches. Whether I’m caring for your dog in my home or yours, my goal is pretty simple: keep them safe, comfortable, and happy, and give you peace of mind while you’re away.
