Growing up with dogs and cats, I have always had four-legged friends underfoot. For neighbors and friends, I have taken care of dogs, cats, parrots, finches, rabbits, and a few others including scaled friends. I know how important regular exercise is for animals and enjoy taking my own dog to a few local parks for solo hiking. If your animal were interested in this I would be happy to drive them (with a dog-friendly seatbelt) to similar parks. As an adult pet owner, I have gotten used to administering oral medication. I am open to learning to administer injection medication, as well. My own dog is reactive and I have a couple of friends with reactive animals, so I am open to meeting others, as well as learning everything you do to take care of your own. While I have not taken care of snakes or spiders/insects myself, I am open to learning and have worked in a college biology lab where we took care of turtles, frogs, and a few other critters.

Safety, trust & environment
While I won't take care of animals at my own home, due to having my own pets, I would be happy to either house-sit, walk, or check in on yours. If you choose to, I'd love to take your dog out to the local parks and walk trails with them. When watching your pets I will do my best to keep them on the same daily schedule that they are used to. Regular picture updates are a promise too!

Simon is incredible! He is attentive to the needs of our pets and was an absolutely amazing communicator. While we were away, I had no doubt that our little guys were being expertly cared for and loved on. So excited to know Simon, we will 100% be booking him again.
Simon took time getting to know Bo before taking him out for a walk. Asked great questions to get to know Bo’s needs and personality and was really responsive to flexibility in an ongoing schedule for walks. Can’t wait to continue to have Simon as part of Bo’s daily routine!
We couldn’t be happier with the care our dogs received! We got regular updates and photos, which made it easy to relax while we were away. Unfortunately, one or both of our dogs ended up with upset stomachs during our trip, but everything was handled with so much patience, kindness, and professionalism. We really appreciated the extra care and communication throughout. It’s clear our dogs were in great hands, and we’d absolutely book again. Highly recommend!

Schedule
Working from home most days gives me a lot of flexibility. My mornings always start with feeding my cats and taking care of their space and then tending to my dog before I get started on my own tasks. I am also a part time student so I’m used to balancing a busy schedule.

- I would love to know anything about your pets from their favorite toys to their preferred walking routes. I am used to keeping an eye out for cars and other animals with my dog, and I’m also used to the specifics on my cats’ feeding routines. If your furry friend has any specific needs such as medication administration, specific feeding schedules, or preferred walking routes, I am more than happy to hear about them.
