I am very flexible when it comes to caring for pets. I’ll be able to get to the pets as soon as I get off of work. If I don’t work then I’ll usually be open all day. I work 7a-3p. I’m off Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.

Unfortunately I cannot provide boarding in my apartment because it’s a 2 pet policy. When I’m in the clients home I’ll let the pet roam freely. I will also pick up after they do their business. I feel that a dog and human bond is really unbreakable, so I will be comfortable with any pet that I connect with. I’ll also need to know where things are, I.e food, treats, leash.

Some important things to know about your pets are their name, what preferences they like, and the pets feeding schedule. Some other information I’ll need to know is where the bags are for cleaning up their poop and where things are around the house.
A typical day
A typical day watching pets includes going on walks and playing with them to get the energy out of them. I will also brush their fur and make sure they are loved all the time.

Pet care experience
The dogs I have taken care of have always received excellent tlc. I am able to use commands, for example sit, stay, and place! I have experience with senior dogs administering oral medication. I will keep a close eye on the geriatric dogs and make sure they don’t have any issues.

I just used Ben Strauss today for the very first time. I have a three year old lab named Beatrice. I used him for a dog walk and he was sensational. He texted me when he arrived at the house. He sent me pictures of Bea and he reported to me that she had done her business on the walk. The extra unexpected bonus was that he went in the backyard to play ball with Bea after the walk. I mentioned to him that if he wanted to he could go play with her. Usually dog walkers will not also play with the dogs. Bea had so much fun with him that when I came home she had to show me her outside ball (which she brought inside) because she wanted me to know that Ben played ball with her. He spent almost an hour with Bea. I highly recommend Ben Strauss. He is dependable and excellent with animals. 5 stars for Ben!!
Ben is the real deal, he is kind, compassionate and cares deeply for cats and dogs. I would highly recommend Ben for your next pet sitter, whether it’s for a daily walk or an overnight stay, your animals will have a new best friend when Ben comes to take care of them!
I have known Ben for several years now. He is caring, responsible and enjoys taking care of others so I knew he would be perfect to house sit for our two fur babies when we are out of town. He approached our “official” meet and greet with the seriousness of interviewing for his first job. He came prepared with questions about caring for our two pups and made sure he left with a great understanding of their daily routine. Our pups adore him and are always excited to see him. Knowing that our fur babies are well cared for while we are out of town gives us a peace of mind. I highly recommend Ben to anyone who needs care for their pups!
