Green thumbs, happy tails
I offer overnight sits, check-ins, and walks, and I take things at your pet's pace. I love taking dogs (and cats!) out slowly, appreciating the details of people's gardens while they have a good sniff, then opening up into a run to burn off excess energy. I'm always up for fetch, tug of war, and teaching new tricks and behaviors. Over the past few years I've been dog sitting and walking for friends and members of my community around town, and I help with the daily running of my housemates' dog boarding business at home. I've looked after animals with medical needs, from help getting to the bathroom to medication and insulin shots, and I'm reliable at following a feeding and dosing schedule. I'm comfortable with anxious or reactive dogs too, and I know how to avoid their triggers, hold to a routine, and build trust. I work part-time as a gardener and take online classes in project management, so my days stay flexible and I've got plenty of time to spend with your pet.

I keep pets on their normal routine, follow feeding and medication instructions closely, secure doors and gates, refresh water, and move slowly with shy or anxious animals.

Benji is one of the most caring people I’ve had look after my dogs. He has stayed in my home multiple times while caring for them, and every experience has been wonderful. From the beginning, it was clear how naturally he connected with my dogs. He spent quality time with them, took them to the dog park, went on runs with them, and made sure they were not only well cared for but genuinely happy. I could tell they had so much fun with him and felt comfortable in his care. Benji also took exceptional care of my home. He was incredibly respectful of my space and I always returned to a home that was spotless and exactly as I had left it. I would wholeheartedly recommend Benji to anyone looking for someone reliable, compassionate, and responsible to care for their beloved pets and home.

Schedule
My work as a gardener and dog walker keeps me on a flexible schedule. I can handle morning and evening feedings, midday check-ins, walks, and play. I adjust to each pet's routine.
