13 years working for Fairfax County Government in Parks & Rec, I’m both active at work and in my community. Once a month we bring dogs into our community center for pet therapy for our community members. My wife and daughter and I occasionally foster for a local rescue and our most recent dog, Mamacita, is our former foster! My first dog I rescued with my now wife. We were dating at the time and found him in a rural shelter. He was a beautiful 100lb Argentinian Mastiff, a sweet gentle giant and we bonded immediately. My wife tells me I’m a natural with dogs. They seem to take my lead. We volunteer at dog adoption events for a local rescue and I tend to handle the more challenging dogs due to my skills. This part time endeavor is to support my family and our goals. I am a family man who loves animals and look forward to helping you with your fur family needs. My hours vary depending on community events but I am usually available most mornings, early afternoons, and later in the evenings after work. I look forward to caring for your fur babies when in need! Skills - * Experience with puppies and older dogs. * Experience smaller and larger dogs. * Experience administering oral and topical medications. * Physically capable of going on longer walks, multiple times a day. * Physically capable of handling bigger dogs on walks. * Attention to detail, schedule following, clean, punctual. * Will provide photos and detailed descriptions of visits.

* I have experience with small, medium, and large dogs. I am comfortable giving medications. Longer walks, multiples times a day are ok with me and play time with their favorite toy is a must.

I have used Benjamin before and my dogs love him! Granted my Chow Chow is a typical Chow and takes a bit to warm up to strangers but he was very patient with her. I’ve got two big dogs and always worry about someone being able to handle them and I’m never disappointed when I come back to happy faces from my pups! Highly recommend!
Benjamin took my last minute walking request and treated my fur babies as though they were his own He gave them a great exercise walk and was detailed in his report of the visit. I’ll for sure be requesting more services from him!
Ben went above and beyond for my two labs and even managed a sick puppy situation while I was gone. I can’t thank him enough!
Ben did amazing with Cleo and Alfie. They are both high energy and Ben figured out how to connect with them immediately. He was great about providing updates and sent pictures of both of them on walks. The very next day Alfie looked very excitedly at his harness to go for another walk. I would highly recommend!
Absolutely wonderful and professional! My two fur babies can require some patience and understanding and Benjamin went above and beyond in their care while I was gone! Would highly recommend and use again for any future bookings. He gave both my doberman and chow chow the attention and time with each visit, leaving them nice and happy once I got back. Thanks again!
Ben is awesome! Stella was a rescue and did not care for male handlers - Ben has been a game changer. It is such a joy to witness Stella’s reaction and interaction with Ben, she LOVES him. Prior to Ben, Stella was at times a challenge to walk because she becomes over stimulated when we come across other dogs but after she’s been with Ben she is a new dog!! Her behavior has improved tremendously and we are grateful for Ben’s patience and perseverance with her!
