I've had animals for my entire life and was brought up with dogs of many sizes and breeds. It brings me great joy to look after animals of any kind, even the ones considered creepy and crawly. My approach is a thoughtful and caring one that aims to observe a dog/cats boundaries and work with them respectfully. I have looked after dogs and cats of all ages and sizes and know how to build a relationship with animals through care, observation, and consistency. I am currently a biology student whose goal is to pursue animal research and nature conservation. This means I will take an extremely thorough approach to caring for your animals and do any necessary research in order to better look after them. It's my passion in this field that helps me understand and work with animals. I am an extremely enthusiastic sitter and take great delight in getting to know animals and spend time with them. Whether cat, dog, or otherwise, I am looking forward to meeting them and giving them the best care possible.

If you invite me into your home, I will be completely respectful of your animals routine and will do what it takes to keep that up for them. Whether it be walking, cuddles, playtime, baths, or anything else, as long as I have the information then I can do it. I prefer to have a document on hand of your pets needs, either digital or physical, so that I can provide the best care possible. With new animals my first objective is always to pay attention to their needs and communication styles so I can give them whatever they require. Establishing trust always comes first for me, with you and your animal. If you have any questions, needs, or concerns about care, please don't hesitate to bring them up with me. Daily updates through text can also be provided if that is something you would like while away.

Benedict has been my primary pet sitter for a few years now, recommended by a friend in the vet industry. He is an incredibly kind and loving person and my furbabies were drawn to him from the very first time they met. I have two elderly indoor cats (with many specific needs and extreme cat personalities) and a young, LARGE and energetic dog (pitty/dane rescue). His calm and gentle – but firm – demeanor allows my babies to trust and respect him. My cats are very sensitive to change and disruption in their routine, and he always respects their issues with love. My dog is a lot for anyone… she is big, active and very much a ‘velcro’ dog… but when Benedict shows up she is so happy and excited to see him. He has always followed every direction I gave him and truly made a relationship with each of my babies. Originally, I asked Benedict to house sit for me when I went on vacation, and in my home he was wonderful. When I returned home it was like I never left… which is so wonderful when you return with a suitcase full of things to be washed and you are exhausted. I recently had surgery and was unable to walk my dog for weeks and Benedict was more than willing to come take her out every day – which was the greatest gift!! I live in an apartment, and I could manage the bathroom breaks, but not the daily exercise…which she desperately needs for both our sanity. Overall, I would highly recommend Benedict! He will care for your babies, respect your rules and instructions and keep your home how you left it. He is a gift for anyone that loves their furbabies. Benedict is the most professional dog sitter I have ever had. He followed instructions perfectly, was clean, and my dog loved his energetic personality. Ben has helped us look after our 2 dogs for several years, including walks and in-person dog-sitting when we are away on vacation and often when we are out of the house at work. One of our dogs sadly recently passed away, she was 17 years old, and as a small dog became very fragile. Ben was endlessly patient with her and the many medical issues she developed in old age; he gave her medications as prescribed, fed her by hand when she could no longer eat by herself and gave her bottomless cuddles. Ben still cares for our other dog, who is mid-sized, very energetic, and has an endless need for attention and ear rubs. He loves dogs, cats and other pets, is warm, caring and above all is very responsible. I very much recommend him to anyone needing pet care.

Schedule
My weekly schedule revolves around college, I have 3 classes a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. There are usually long gaps between classes where I can check in on an animal or walk/feed them and I do not need to be at school all day. From Friday-Monday I have no scheduled commitments and can commit fully to looking after a higher maintenance pet.
