Pet care experience
I'm a fully vetted foster volunteer for Labrador Rescue and The Cinnamon Trust, though I will not have any other dogs with me when I have yours. I am a dog lover and lost my own Choc Lab a little while ago but unfortunately unable to have another dog at present, due to my travel/family commitments abroad but will be available for dog sitting in between these visits. On this point, please note that I am unable to take bookings more than 2 - 3 months in advance To ensure your dog is well cared for in a home from home, I would ask that you provide me with a brief description of your dog letting me know what they like/dislike, how far and how often they like to walk and anything else you can tell me so I can ensure they'll be happy and you can have a worry free time away. If your dog has not previously come to me, it would be nice to meet beforehand if possible, to walk with you and your dog so I won't be a stranger to them when they come to stay.

Ben was amazing with ‘Willow’ our young golden retriever. He took time to get to know her beforehand and asked about her daily routine, likes and dislikes which made me feel very reassured when I left Willow for a long weekend. During her stay, Ben sent daily photos and videos of their adventures which was amazing. Ben was an absolute gentleman and cared for Willow in a way it was ‘ Home from ‘Home’ for her. I certainly would not hesitate in entrusting Willow in his care in the future. “Thank you very much Ben.” “You were brilliant!!”

I have a full fenced garden and when your dog and I are home and the weather is appropriate, I have my patio doors open all the time. I will replicate your own home rules eg if your dog is allowed on the furniture at home then he/she is allowed on the furniture at mine. The only exception is that I can't have a dog in or on my bed.

Let me know your dog's likes/dislikes, behavioral issues and any special needs so I can accommodate them and ensure he/she has a happy stay. When away from my garden, I will only ever play with/walk/exercise your dog on a lead or very long leash PLEASE NOTE. Unfortunately, due to recent experience, I have to add the following. I'm only prepared to accommodate and care for your dog if :- 1. They are registered with a Vet and their inoculations, worm and flea treatments are up to date. 2. They are not aggressive to humans or other animals 3. They are house trained and not incontinent. If you have any concerns about them or any issues i haven't mentioned, please make me aware so we can discuss IF/HOW I can manage them. Thank you
A typical day
Depending on your dog's age/ability and your instructions, I will walk your dog twice maybe three times a day for an hour or more each walk. i try to differ the walks and locations every day depending on your dog's ability to travel. There are Parks, fields and woods within walking distance from my house but I enjoy walking further afield for more variety if your dog is capable

Unfortunately, due to having a daughter and grandchildren abroad, I'm often required to pop over to them. As a consequence, I'm unable to take bookings /make commitments much more than 2 months in advance. However, should I be able to look after your dog/s and accept a booking. I will always plan family trips around your booking and honour it. Im retired and will be with your dog 24/7 other than a weekly supermarket trip or the odd nip out to the local shop where I can't take a dog with me/. Other than that, wherever I go, your dog goes too :-)
