Hi there! I’m a Fluvanna county native, born and raised In Palmyra, have traveled much since and have been practicing architecture for about 16 years. Working from home this last few years, extra time has proven abundant. Dogs are cared for here at my farm with a completely fenced-in enormous backyard, and 40+ acres of additional farmland with contiguous forest trails and streams. It’s an unbelievable setting for dogs and, as a dog lover myself, I know the most important thing is attentive caretaking. I’ll learn their quirks and tend to everyone as they were my own. Short stays or long, I might be your ideal sitter! I have so many repeat clients and looking forward to building some new ones here around Fluvanna! Ben took amazing care of my puppy! I think maybe my dog prefers him and his house to mine now. Plenty of pictures and communication, a great house and yard, and a friendly dog friend. Great sitter, highly recommended.
Roy Kent was well-cared for while I went away for three days and two nights. Ben sent lots of pictures of RK and the other dogs he was watching over the weekend. I could fully relax and have a great time. Thank You Ben and Sequoia!
I couldn’t imagine a better sitter for our pups! We got regular updates from Ben and every single picture/video we could tell how comfortable and happy they were. They were excited to see us, but also happy to stay even longer if we would’ve let them! The best thing of all — they came home around 6pm and they slept for hours!! I truly would recommend him for anyone interested in keeping their dogs active while they’re away. He has a beautiful house and yard and they were just soooo spoiled. As a bonus, we drove in the same area as the house the day after and our puppy was a little bummed we weren’t stopping! :) All in all, a wonderful experience and I wish we would’ve found him earlier.
Ben was super accommodating for Archie’s daycare. He took tons of pictures and was extremely communicative. Definitely would recommend anyone let their pup spend time here!
Been was reassuring, relaxed and very positive on Roy Kent's first visit there for day care. I felt comfortable leaving him and RK had an outstanding day. We will be back to Ben and Sequioa's for sure!
Ben is GREAT! We felt very comfortable leaving our dog with him, it's obvious how much he loves dogs and was a great communicator and sent us great photos. Highly recommended!

Schedule
My mom I will usually walk dogs between 1 to 3 miles per day around the property at least twice a day. My farm chores require a couple of hours daily earring sunrise, otherwise I’m at my laptop around the house, usually in the kitchen, working on architectural projects 4 to 6 hours per day with plenty of time for breaks to play with pups and or tend as needed.

I’ve cared for dogs all my life and will follow every quirk that every dog has. Im Comfortable administering most oral medications, providing elderly care, maintaining separation as each pet owner prefers. The more I know, the better care I’ll be able to give!

A typical day
The farm has miles of trails and dog beds in every room of the house, a completely fenced backyard maybe 1/3 acre. Pleasant Grove is a couple miles up the road with even more trails, river access, and a fenced public dog park for controlled social outings, depending on behavior and preferences.
