What sets me apart is that I genuinely love spending time with animals and treat every pet as if they were my own. I grew up with a family dog, which gave me years of hands-on experience with daily walks, feeding, playtime, and providing lots of love and attention. In addition to caring for my family dog, I have experience pet sitting for both dogs and cats. I understand the importance of following each pet’s routine, respecting their unique personality, and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. While I’m not a professional trainer, I’m patient, dependable, and committed to providing attentive care, regular updates, and plenty of affection so you can have complete peace of mind knowing your pet is in good hands.

My cat, Checkers, gets very anxious when I leave for more than a couple of days, to the point where he will overgroom and lick his own fur off. Because of this, leaving him has always been stressful for me, and I’ve relied on cat sitters whenever I’m away for an extended period. I found Ben through a mutual connection and have trusted him with Checkers many times since. Most recently, I left for Europe for several weeks, and when I came home, Checkers was happy, healthy, and completely his normal self. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was in good hands while I was away. Ben is reliable, trustworthy, and takes great care of Checkers. I wouldn’t hesitate to have him watch my cat again, and I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for someone they can trust with their pets.

Schedule
Pet care fits naturally into my routine. During the school year, I’m a teacher, so I’m available on weekdays after 5:00 p.m. and throughout the weekends. During the summer, I have significantly more flexibility and availability, allowing me to dedicate even more time to pet care. No matter the season, I’m committed to providing reliable, attentive care and making sure every pet receives the exercise, attention, and affection they deserve. I always communicate with owners and follow each pet’s routine to help them feel comfortable and cared for.

Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, my priority is making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while maintaining their normal routine. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions for feeding, walks, medications (if applicable), and any other special care their pet may need. In my home, pets have a comfortable environment with a spacious living room for playtime and a separate room where they can relax or have quiet time if needed. My apartment also has convenient dog relief areas, and there are several nearby parks where dogs can enjoy safe walks, exercise, and fresh air. I provide plenty of attention, playtime, and regular updates with photos so owners can feel confident that their pets are happy and well cared for while they’re away. My goal is to make every pet feel at home and every owner feel at ease.
A typical day
Every pet has a unique personality, so I tailor activities to their energy level and preferences. For dogs, that can include walks, playtime, games like fetch or tug-of-war, and plenty of time exploring nearby parks. For pets who enjoy a slower pace, I'm just as happy spending time giving belly rubs, cuddles, and companionship. For cats, I enjoy interactive play with toys, enrichment activities, and giving them attention on their terms, whether that's playing, brushing, or simply keeping them company. My goal is to make sure every pet gets the exercise, mental stimulation, and affection they need while having a fun and stress-free experience.
