I work as a freelance video editor and can make my own schedule, so I'm able work around a client's needs. Pet care is also a welcome break from staring at a screen for hours on end.

Safety, trust & environment
I treat all animals no differently than I would our own. I take my little fur baby Colby out three times a day for at least 30 minutes and play with him on and off all day long.

Information Ben B. would like to know about your pet
Anything big or small. Obviously special needs and behavioral specifics are important but so is knowing that a dog prefers scratching behind the ears or toys that squeak.
A typical day
I like playing fetch, tug of war and I have extensive experience with flirt poles and saliva-drenched Kongs. I live in Crown Heights and I love walking dogs in my neighborhood. Brower Park and Dr. Ronald McNair Park are both great places to roam and socialize with other dogs, and for longer outings Prospect Park is a real buffet for the senses.

Never Met An Animal I Didn't Like
Pet care experience
I've had animals in my life as long as I can remember. My parents were big Dobermann rescue fans and I became accustomed to large dogs early on. It wasn't until I took care of a three-legged Chihuahau named Ingmar that I fell for smaller breeds. These days I'm a sucker for pretty much any pup I meet.
Reviews

My corgi, Fred, had a great stay with Ben. I'd highly recommend Ben to my fellow dog parents and intend to have Fred stay with him the next time I travel. Ben is a great communicator. He is responsive and provided numerous photos daily. I could see how happy Fred was in every photo. So much so I was worried Fred would be disappointed to come home!

Ben took great care of my sweet girl, Penelope, so much that she didn't even notice me when I came to pick her up! He sent many photos and videos of her running around, sleeping, and getting fresh air. I was nervous searching for a dog sitter out of fear of her being mistreated. Ben assuaged all of my fears the second that I met him. His energy is very calm and welcoming. He spoke to his dog, my dog, and a third dog that he was watching with such love and tenderness. I will be contacting him again when I need a sitter.

Ben rocks!! Always my go to when I need to board my pup. He sends awesome pics, makes sure that my dog gets plenty of exercise and you can tell how much he loves all dogs!

Ben is so accommodating and the best with my dog! Thank you!
