I recently graduated the University of Sussex in law, and now work remotely from home on an ad-hoc basis. This affords me a lot of flexibility in my schedule when it comes to caring for little friends. Based in central Brighton but willing to travel for drop ins/ walks. I am able to host your pet at my home - the garden is small but fenced off, so ideal for any master escapees! We also have an upper sun deck, again fenced off, so fantastic for lounging on after a long walk. I live with my partner, Kuba, who is also experienced with all manner of furry friends, and is excellent with animals.

Safety, trust & environment
I am able to travel to pick up your dog to take out for those much needed walks and fun, but am no longer offering house sitting. I also have experience puppy training, so am happy to implement some fun learning lessons if desired. I am also used to taking care of cats, and am happy to do drop ins, or even boarding, if required.

Information Bella P. would like to know about your pet
Ideally any fears or preferences your dog may have or any allergies or intolerances. Don’t mind quirks but would like to know of any particular nuances that may need attention drawn to. Would like to know if your dog has an aversion to men, due to living with my partner. If this is due to unfamiliarity, we can always schedule a meet and greet where he is also present so your dog can meet him and get used to him.
A typical day
Your dog and I will explore all the places Brighton has to offer - from the beach to the golf course, no rock will be left unturned nor lamppost unsniffed! Fetch is of course on the menu. For cats, we’ll explore a range of activities, from snoozing and stretching to chasing feathers and having chins rubbed, but your cat will dictate the direction we take, of course.

Pet care experience
Having lived rurally until moving to Brighton, I’ve been lucky enough to grow up with and care for dogs, cats, guinea pigs, horses and even donkeys from a young age. Growing up with a menagerie of animals certainly allowed me to learn to adapt to their needs, as well as gain a wide range of experience and relevant skills, despite how chaotic it could be at times! I’ve been looking after other people’s pets since I was a teen, and have always had a kind, sensitive approach to each one, as I can understand that having a stranger look after you could be a bit daunting! I’m a very keen walker and regularly embark on countryside walks that can take 2/3hrs to complete. If you have a particularly energetic friend I am more than happy to take them with me on these, and would similarly be grateful for the company! The walk over the hills to Falmer is a particular favourite of mine. Experienced and responsible with a genuine love for animals. Will treat as my own and give lots of care and attention. Experienced with senior dogs, rescue dogs and reactive dogs.

Reviews

Bella was great looking after Diego! She kept us updated with loads of photos and was flexible about pick up and drop off. Definitely hope she can look after him again.

Bella was amazing with our cockapoo Rex! She kept us updated daily with photos and updates, and took such good care of him. He came back a happy boy! Thanks sooo much Bella!

Bella is a fantastic dogsitter. My pup has separation anxiety but he loved her and she was excellent with him and sent me updates during the stay, and was very good about keeping him an extra couple of hours due to my being delayed picking him up.

Larry had a wonderful walk with Bella. Warm, reliable and communicative, she really took the time to get to know Larry and his needs. Loved the pic updates too - he had a big smile on his face. Thanks Bella :)
