Hi!! My name is Bella, and I LOVE dogs! I have two large family dogs—a German Shepherd and a Golden Retriever—that I have raised since they were just 2 months old. While raising my two babies, I have learned so much about reading body language, positive reinforcement, obedience training, and understanding each dog's individual wants and needs. One thing I strive for with every dog is the power of positive reinforcement. I have found that dogs respond best when they feel encouraged and understood, and it helps create a much stronger bond between me and them. I love getting to know each dog's personality and figuring out how to communicate with them in a way that makes them feel safe and confident. Throughout high school and college, I volunteered at shelter events and worked weekly with fearful dogs at a local shelter. Those experiences taught me patience, compassion, and how rewarding it is to help a dog come out of their shell. Not having a dog for much of my childhood made me appreciate them even more once I got my own, and it created a passion for caring for and advocating for dogs that continues today.
