I am a graduate student here in Chicago, so I have classes four days a week, but I can do walks and drop in visits for most of the afternoon, and dogsitting and walks Saturday-Monday.

I am unable to take pets into my own home, but in a clients home I am prepared to work with whatever is available, including spending as much time outside as necessary and bringing treats and a slip lead to help with walking, training, and crating. For pets who prefer to spend their time indoors, I will make sure they still get plenty of attention and mental stimulation.

Before taking care of a dog, I need to know of any medications or special needs. It is very helpful to get a sense of a dog’s personality and how they are with new people and dogs. Just tell me if your pup is good on walks, if they like to run, if they jump on passing people, and anything else you think may be helpful! You know your pets best so I will do the best I can with whatever info you give me.
A typical day
I am happy to play with your dogs with any toys they like (I can also bring toys if it is helpful). I can take your dogs on walks around your neighborhood and local parks, and for high energy dogs, I can take them on runs. I do not have professional experience training, but I have worked on it with my own dogs, so I can do some training with treats for dogs who require more mental stimulation :)

In addition to taking care of my own three dogs, I have spent the past four summers working at a doggy daycare/ kennel. I have professional training and experience in taking care of animals of a variety of sizes and various needs. With over 50 dogs in our care every day, I am experienced in creating an environment that is safe, clean, and fun. I feel prepared to handle anything that is thrown my way !!

Bella was absolutely incredible!! We hesitate to leave our doggies alone for more than 3 hours as they are anxious and one of them is a senior with a brain tumor. We decided to give it a go to celebrate my partner’s birthday and were nervously texting Bella the whole time. Our Caroline ended up having a very rough time and Bella went above and beyond to care for her. She gave us regular updates, calmed & comforted Caroline, and stayed until both doggies had settled down and were ready for bed. She kept us all sane that night and I don’t think we could’ve done it without Bella!
Bella was excellent. Our dogs clearly loved her immediately. And she took great care of them and the house.
Bella is so sweet and we came back to a very happy cat. Would book with her again!
Bella did a great job with our pups. Great communication and she was very flexible working with our pack. I'd gladly have her back to watch them any time.
