I will treat the pet as my own. At my home, my home had to be adapted around my cat. As a senior animal he had step stools , multiple litter boxes that are cleaned daily, and a specific diet and medications that take time to administer. I will happily meet your pets needs as best I can.

Information Bell D. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your dog is not comfortable around other dogs, needs medication (I can administer it, but tell me how!), and anything they do not like. For example, don't touch their chin or butt for sensitivity reasons!

A typical day

I love to take dogs to parks so they are able to interact with many things from animals, to smells, to people, to other dogs. I enjoy playing games with dogs and helping them feel engaged and that their mind is active. On more chill days I like to provide dogs with enrichment toys to ensure they are still getting mental stimulation.

Pet care experience

I grew up with two dogs who are now over the rainbow bridge. . Two Yorkshire Terriers named Buddy and Beary! Many of my friends have dogs, and I grew up around dogs of all sizes and breeds. Additionally, I had a senior medically challenging cat for about 8 years. He recently passed on January 3rd, 2023. He was the love of my life and I did all the things needed to care from him. I have experience administering medication both orally and through shots, giving fluids subcutaneously, and giving animals hygiene care. I am adaptable and willing to work with any animal. I am able to bathe, walk, feed, administer medicine, and play with your pet. I am available mostly on weekends and in the evenings during the week after 5pm. I am a high school science teacher who loves to explore the world with curiosity and loves all things, especially animals and science. I am hoping to get some extra income for the holidays and summer! Rates are flexible, just trying to get started with Rover!

Bell is the ultimate animal lover and cat parent! Since I've known them, they have cared endlessly and compassionately for their elderly cat and they have the knowledge to bring that care and compassion to every other animal too! Anyone who knows Bell knows that being a responsible caregiver to animals is among their top priorities in life. Bell takes special care to make sure their animal has consistent veterinary care and any accommodations that his old bones need. When not taking care of their own pet, they bring their compassion to watching animals for others including walks, feeding, and all the basics. They also happen to be a passionate educator during the school year teaching kids about science and the love for animals too.

I cannot recommend Bel highly enough, I have trusted them to take care of my two(very high maintenance) on multiple occasions for weeks at a time. Bel has always gone above and beyond in caring for my fur babes, giving me great peace of mind while I am away. For example, my cats are leash trained and Bel will take them on daily walks to make sure they are getting stimulation while I am out of the house for so long. Additionally, one of my cats is chronically ill and Bel has always been great with giving them their medicine and keeping an eye on their behavior for any warning signs. Bel has come to my aid on very short notice when my cat had emergency surgery and needed constant observation and care, allowing me to get back to work while knowing he was in great hands. I can confidently say Bel is an exceptional pet sitter!
