During drop-in visits, I refresh their water, serve meals or treats as instructed, and spend time giving them attention, play, or cuddles depending on what they enjoy most. I can also administer medication if needed. On walks, I make sure dogs stay hydrated—especially during hot summer days. I never rush them, let them sniff around, and prevent them from eating anything suspicious. Their safety, comfort, and enjoyment always come first. I pay attention to their body language and tailor each walk to their pace and needs.

A typical day

We might play with their favorite toys, spend time outside, or hangout inside if that's what they prefer. On walks, I let dogs sniff and explore at their own pace, visit dog parks for playtime, or relax together lying on the grass in the shade.

Dogs are my favorite kind of people! I am certified in American Red Cross Pet First Aid/CPR. I’ve volunteered with rescue organizations in the US and Peru, and currently serve as the Out-of-State Dog Adoption Coordinator for SOCA Animal Rescue in Houston. I offer house-sitting, drop-in visits, and dog walking to give pets the care and companionship they need while their families are away.I am a firm believer that daily walks and a natural diet are essential for a dog’s physical and emotional well-being. I’m experienced with both energetic puppies and patient, gentle seniors. Every dog deserves personalized care, consistency, and love. I speak English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

I recently used Belen to watch my two dogs while I was on a family trip out of state. All I can say is, wow! She did an amazing job and went out of her way to make sure my dogs were taken care of and happy. When we had threats of thunderstorms, she even pulled my patio furniture under cover and made sure everything was battened down. I highly recommend Belen!
