House sitting & drop in’s: I am committed to learning my clients’ care regime to ensure their pets’ day-to-day routine is as uninterrupted and consistent as possible. Boarding in my home: My two pups, Snoopy and Teddy, are friendly, high-energy, and playful. They both do best meeting new dogs for the first time outside of our home/backyard (i.e., at the park, a neutral territory). To ensure your pups and mine are properly introduced, I require a meet-and-greet prior to confirming a booking. Exercise & walks: I'm happy to provide the play & exercise time your pup needs! I look forward to learning your dog’s favorite activities and routes around the neighborhood & parks.

Information Becca K. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know the following so I can give your pets(s) the best care possible: 1.Any special needs, medical conditions, or behavioral issues / quirks I need to be aware of. 2. Are there any food allergies (or allergies in general) and/or medication administration I need to be aware of? *DOG owners - please continue: 3. Has your dog ever shown signs of skittishness, reactivity, and/ or aggressive behavior towards other dogs, people, and/or small animals (neighborhood cats, squirrels, etc.)? 4. If we are on a walk in a public space and another dog or human wants to greet your dog(s): 1) Is this ok? 2) Is there anything specific you need me to be aware of? (Other than keeping a close eye during the interaction and assessing for any common signs of distress or overstimulation.) 5. What are the tools and commands you use with your dog(s) so I can keep things consistent?
A typical day
I love giving your pet(s) all of the love and attention they deserve! I commit to giving your dog(s) a variety of activity. I love taking dogs on walks throughout the neighborhood or at nearby parks with lots of shade. I enjoy engaging your pup(s) in different types of play - (fetch, tug with their favorite toy, etc.). I'm happy to continue any training you are currently working on and/or facilitate a refresher of current tricks & commands with your dog for mental stimulation. I love spending time with your cat doing whatever they want! If they want pets or to get brushed the whole time, groovy! If they want some outside time on a leash, awesome. If your cat(s) takes a while to warm up and just needs to meow at me until we know each other better, that's cool too. :)

Pet lover with extensive experience
Pet care experience
For 11 years I was a deeply committed dog mom to two angels - a German Shepherd, Tessa, and miniature American Eskimo, Kierra. Currently, I am mom to Boxer-Lab Mix, Snoopy and Dachshund-Retriever mix, Teddy. Before committing to my own dogs, my family always had dogs and cats. Due to the deep love and devotion I possess for animals, I naturally fulfilled the role of being our family pets’ primary caretaker. I go above and beyond to give my pets and yours the best care possible. I have extensive experience in caring for senior and special needs dogs and cats. At age 12, my German Shepherd lost neurological functioning of her back legs. I have experience with physical therapy exercises, help ‘em up harnesses, laser therapy, pet wheelchairs/carts, and medication administration (including injections). My American Eskimo was blind for the last four years of her life. I was honored to be her seeing-eye-human and took that responsibility seriously. I have years of experience in caring for 2-5 dogs at once. I understand the intentionality, diligence, patience, and compassion it takes to care for senior and disabled & special needs pets. While I have not yet had a cat of my own, I have many years of experience in caring for my roommates’ cats as well as my family and friends’ cats - including senior cats and cats in need of specialized care. I have experience in caring for reactive and high energy dogs as well as dogs with separation anxiety. I will follow my clients’ care instructions for their pets to a T. I will love and care for them as my own, as I recognize and honor the trust my clients are instilling in me.
