WeHo Professional Pet Care

Pet care experience

Hello, My name is Barry Burkhart and I have a large city apartment that I share with my partner and fellow pet sitter Josh, and our small breed dog. By day I'm a licensed financial professional, Josh a model and actor, and we work from home most days. We love our mid day works to the dog parks, and strolls on the city streets. We are open the pet walking, home visits, and sleep overs. We have a vehicle so we can pick up and drop off, or you are welcome to come by our place and check it out. I believe you pay for what you get. We are not the most inexpensive rate on this site, however, we are a professional service. We carry insurance, we are certified, and we are licensed trainers with combined more than 20 years experience. We have an extensive book of regular customers that will be happy to provide references to the quality of our service. Rates (please read) The promoted rate is for dogs less than 30 lbs, and a day is defined as a 24 hour period, extra hours are negotiable. Dogs 30 lbs to 60lbs are $40 per night. If you r dog is over 60 lbs, the price is varies depending on the temperament. Holiday weekends please add an additional $20 per night to the above fees with a two night minimum. Pick up and drop off service can be added for just $10. At the time of booking please indicate if you would like this service added to your quote. I ask that dogs be house trained or pad trained. It helps if your dog is comfortable with sleeping in a kennel or dog bed for consistency, however, have no problem with them lying in my bed. For dogs that like to pull when walking, I do not like to use harness as this promotes bad habits, however, will use whatever the owner likes. If you ask my opinion as a certified dog trainer, I would say a choker or lead works best. I have not been show training for several years now, however, remain grounded in the fundamentals and look forward to helping you and your dog where I can. My experience administering medication Totally, no problems with that at all.

This was Brady’s first stay at Barry’s and it was great! Barry kept me updated all weekend with photos and put me at ease. Barry was also extremely accommodating and understanding when our flight home was delayed. Brady came home exhausted and slept for about a whole day – he had a great time with Barry!
