Hi. I’m Barney. I'm 46 and currently living back in the UK after working and travelling in Latin America for several years. I grew up with cats and dogs and have done quite a few sits now. I don’t have my own pets but I when I was living in Nicaragua, I volunteered at an animal shelter and was responsible for looking after the many kittens (so many kittens!) and the dogs that we took in. I love to travel and visit new places, but because I travel a lot it's not really possible to have my own pets, so spending a little time looking after your furry friends would be the next best thing! I am physically fit and like to be outside so long walks are no problem for me; I'd rather be out walking dogs than inside as I have to stare at a computer when I'm working! I have a full clean UK driving licence and I'm fully house-trained!

Safety, trust & environment
I do whatever is required depending on the owner, house and situation. I have time every day for a long walk, and wouldn’t need to be away from the home for any long periods of time, so several short walks a day is also possible, or just being there to let dogs out as and when they need is also not a problem.
Ratings and reviews
Barney did everything he was asked to do. He's calm , quiet and friendly meaning all 3 dogs were relaxed and happy. He sent us regular videos and updates. The house was clean and tidy on our return. All good !!
Barney looked after our two dogs, including one with reactive tendencies. His calm approach was great, we came home to calm and happy dogs, and also a tidy house. We fully recommend Barney
Barney was great with Dolly and provided regular updates whilst I was away, he took her on long walks which I am sure she would have enjoyed. Barney also left the house spotless. I would not hesitate to recommend him
Barney was a great guy and looked after Nemo who got on well with him. I would definitely use Barney again if he is still around when we go away again. Thanks to Barney for looking after him.
Came home to very happy animals, Barney was great. He kept in touch and sent us photos, and was happy to look after not just the dogs and cat but also our chickens and houseplants.
Barney is calm, reliable and took good care of our Golden Retriever who was recovering from a recent operation. He sent us regular photo’s and updates whilst we were away to let us know that all was well. On return we had a happy dog and a clean and tidy house. We will definitely be using Barney again!

Schedule
I work online, usually somewhere between 1-4 hours a day so have lots of free time available for pet care, walks, playing etc. Obviously, I bring everything I need with me for work, I just need an internet connection and somewhere I can work from (doesn’t need to be an office, just a table and chair is enough!)
