Safe, Loving Home Away From Home
I have loved dogs all my life. Over the past 25 years, my wife and I raised 3 rescue dogs from puppyhood. We spent a year caring for our senior dog, Rex, who developed health problems at age 14. In caring for Rex I became skilled in administering medication by pill and injection and i learned a lot about pain management. We live in a residential neighborhood in a single-family house with a fenced yard that your dog can have access to all day. I work from home and have the flexibility to go for walks throughout the day. Generally I only sit one dog at a time but I would take 2 dogs from the same household.

Thanks to Barb and Jenn for their flexibility in extending my dog's stay. I don't think my pup minded too much, as in the photos Barb sent, looked like she was having fun.
Barb and Jenn are always great with my little girl. I was also truly greatful for their flexibility with my setting the date for my surgery, and also when I had to extend my pup's stay with them because of my recovery time change.
Barb and Jenn are great with my dog. I really appreciate all the photos of her that Barb sends me. And their patience and flexibility with my schedule is greatly appreciated.

Schedule
I plan to be working from home full-time for the foreseeable future and can easily fit caring for pets into my schedule during the week.

Safety, trust & environment
The way I care for pets in my home is based on the needs and preferences expressed by the owner. My goal is to keep to each dog's usual feeding, walking and sleeping routine. I don't give dogs people food unless the owner specifically asks me to. I'm fine letting dogs on the furniture and the bed if the owner allows it, but if the owner doesn't allow that I won't do it. Same for play dates with other dogs in the neighborhood - if it's ok with the owner and the dogs are compatible, I'll let them play. If not, I won't. If your dog is crate trained, I'll use a crate. Otherwise I won't.
Pets
A typical day
Your dog will: Go on walks in the neighborhood and in parks with hiking/walking trails. Play fetch, frisbee and whatever else your dog enjoys. Get lots of attention and loving.
