Hi there! Just a quick introduction about myself. My name is Barbara, I was born and grew up in Germany and met my husband while he was stationed there in 2014. We moved to Colorado in 2020 and since August 2022 we live in Carrollton (Eagle Harbor). All animals, but especially dogs have been my passion ever since I was a little kid. I couldn't have my own dog when I was a kid so I started going to our local shelter almost daily to walk rescue dogs. It was my favorite hobby, I started at 9 years old and did it for almost 6 years. I got my first dog when I was 13(best day ever ;) !!!) and spent every free minute with him throughout my teenage life. I loved walking him, teaching him tricks, and bringing him to friend's houses. I've rescued cats and dogs before and just love being around animals. I've taken care of my friends and family's pets multiple times throughout the years. I have experience with dogs of all sizes, puppies, and seniors. I started doing Rover full-time in Colorado and absolutely loved it! I have already established a group of regular clients and am always excited to meet new ones here in Virginia :)!!! We have three dogs of our own, Louie & Kenai who we brought with us from Germany, and our girl Kira who joined our family at our last duty station in Colorado in September 2021 and they are our whole world :) !! I know from my own experience over the last few years, moving a lot and not having friends and family around how hard it is to trust a stranger with your pets. We've had a terrible experience with boarding our dogs and multiple okayish experiences with using people from Rover so my goal is to be the petsitter that I would want for my own dogs.
