Information Barbara S. would like to know about your pet
I am comfortable with all breeds of dogs, large and small! Knowing their normal routine and what they like to do “for fun” would be very important for me to know, as would be any medical conditions, fears, etc... I would also want to know if your dog is comfortable with strangers and if they have ever been aggressive.
A typical day
I live near numerous parks and areas to hike and have a safe enclosed fenced area where I live in which dogs can play off leash while under my supervision. (I personally do not care for public dog parks due to the potential for untrained or aggressive dogs.) I love taking my dogs around town with me if they like being out in public and Williamsburg is a VERY dog friendly town!

Pet care experience
I have had large dogs my entire life and love training dogs to be happy, well behaved members of my family! I grew up with a mixed breed and as an adult have had German Shepards, a Chesapeake Bay retriever, a Standard poodle and a sweet yellow lab. In addition to my dogs, I have had cats (Maine Coon) and koi, and as a young girl had hamsters and birds. My job entails working around horses at a Therapeutic Riding Center on a daily basis. I especially love training dogs using Marker Training - a positive / reward based method which makes learning fun for both dog and trainer! My pets have always been members of my family and have enriched my life beyond description!
