My routine is set by my dog guest. Until I know your pup, we’re outside every 2-3 hours until we agree on a potty schedule. Plus, I live on the trail, by a big million dollar park, our condo has almost 2 acres of manicured dog walks AND I have a lake house on two lots. To a dog, time with me is a vacation 😆.

Your dog will be on a leash outside, fully supervised. Your dog is allowed on furniture and sleeps with me (if that’s his/her routine). We often go to our lake house, 1.5 hours away. Your dog will go with us! Don’t worry- you’ll know me well before I ask, and you’ll know before you book if that’s in our plans. Many of the pictures on Rover are from the lake house.

I’ll make sure puppy’s comfortable. Many people think no one can care for their “special case” dog.... I bet you’re wrong. I've lived with little dogs all my life and have learned a lot on the way.
A typical day
We feed and potty first thing in the morning, then take sun, sometimes with a brushing. Pup will nap, get some pets and follow me around the house. Around 4pm, it’s time for another long walk, then it’s dinner time and lapdog time. If your pup is a loner, I won’t push him/her to engage.

I sit your dog under <20 pounds, no more than two at a time. Your pup has my full attention and you have a more personalized customer experience. I look forward to dog company! I’m home full time and welcome the companionship. We have plenty of sunshine, a fenced property, a nice deck (and couch) for sunning, plus we walk a half-mile loop once or twice a day. I have patience, compassion and plenty of time. If your little dog is wary of other dogs- don’t worry. I don’t sit new dogs together (max 2 total) until I know their temperament.

Barbara and her husband was the perfect fit for Buddy and made his stay feel like vacation. From all the pictures and videos we regularly received there was no doubt that he was truly enjoying the stay. Definitely not the last time we ask Barbara to look after Buddy
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Barbara!! She watched my dog Stanley for two weeks over the holidays and was absolutely amazing. Stanley can be a bit of a slow burn, and she showed him so much patience and love. She totally understood that he needed space and let him come to her when he was ready. She kept me updated the whole time with messages and photos, which made me feel so much better knowing he was happy and adjusting well. He even got to spend time at their lake house for the holidays and had an absolute blast. I’m so grateful for the care, attention, and kindness she gave him. I would recommend her to anyone and truly couldn’t thank her enough.
Even on a longer stay my dog was so happy and loved and well taken care of! Don’t think she missed us!
