An extra companion for your dog
I have been taking care of dogs since I was 13. The first dog I had to care for was my own, when I got my dog Dash my dad said we could keep her if my siblings and I took care of her. She is now 10 years old and the greatest responsibility I have taken care of in my life. I also started dog sitting for friends and family not long after. I have taken care of older dogs who need medication and help with their mobility. Puppies who have been from 1 month to 1 year old, whether it was stopping by afterschool to let them out while potty training or keeping them active. I’ve taken care of dogs from complicated backgrounds who need more time to open up. One of the dogs I regularly take care of was a rescue who didn’t like men and was scared of new people I would spend time with the family in their home so the dog could get used to me before i would take care of him on my own. Understanding a dogs personality and being respectful of their space is always important to learn to establish a connection with a dog. Adapting to their routine makes for an easy transition for both dog and owner. I enjoy caring for dogs and getting to know them, there’s nothing greater then having a dog by your side.

When taking care of someone else’s pet I always ask as many questions as possible, based on both the pet and owner. Learning their routines, personalities and quirks helps me best adapt to the lifestyle both pet and owner share. When taking care of a pet in their own home being respectful and responsible is a must not only do I have to earn the pets trust but also the owners. I am being trusted with someone’s beloved pet and want to make sure it’s easy for both parties. I have a chiwinne named Dash who is my pride and joy. She loves to lounge in the sun, in warmer weather she will always be outside in our fully fenced backyard where we can see her. She likes to go on a small walk each day and play inside with her toys. Dash would rather stay laying in her bed or the couch all day if she could but we always try to keep her healthy and safe. Being part winner dog she still has a long spine, we always try to make sure she’s careful from not hurting herself.

Barbara did a great job taking care of our dog Scout and our home while we were abroad for over a week. We returned to find Scout happy and calm, a sure sign he was given lots of walks, scratches and attention in our absence. She kept our house very clean and our plants watered. She was also good about communicating with us (despite the 7-hour time difference) regarding how Scout was getting along. I definitely would book Barbara again, and can recommend her for dog/house sitting.
I would not hesitate to book with Barbara again! She took excellent care of Copper and kept me updated throughout the stay with regular communication and photos. It was clear that Copper was comfortable and happy with her. Barbara was flexible, genuinely cared about Copper’s well-being, and left our home looking great.
Barbara was a wonderful house sitter! She is so sweet and did an excellent job. Our two dogs were in great hands and our house was very well taken care of while we were away. I would absolutely recommend Barbara if you need a dog sitter or house sitter!!

Barabara went above and beyond to help with our pups last minute! Our pups seemed relaxed and happy after drop off. Our older dog Keedo is a very anxious. When we picked Keedo up he looked content. Barbara was also very accommodating with our schedule and her responses were fast.
Barbara did an amazing job for us again. Very responsive and flexible. And the house looked spotless again. I highly recommend her to take care of your pets and your home.

DISCLAIMER!! (I WILL BE LEAVING FOR SCHOOL AUG 20th) I am more compatible with pets who can go a few hours without supervision. Currently I am home for break from college and have most of my schedule free. In the summer when I come back to Boise I work a part time job. So being able to leave for a few hours works the best for me.
