Loving care away from home!
I have loved several german shepherds and labradors over the years. We enjoyed doing obedience classes and hiking many trails together. I also have a medical background and can manage meds.

Barbara was so wonderful with my older GSD, Ranger! She loved on him and babied him when his back legs started acting up. Every picture Barbara sent was precious. I felt very comfortable with the care Ranger received. I’d highly recommend Barbara!

Our dog seemed to adjust very well. We got daily updates and pictures on how she was doing. Barbara even took her for walks in frigid temperatures. That’s going above and beyond.

Schedule
I am retired from nursing and spend most of my time @ home reading/quilting. I have recently lost both my dogs to cancer, but my days were enjoyed focusing on their walks and play time.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced yard (5' tall) and always accompanied my dogs outside. We also went for walks twice daily. They enjoyed hikes in nearby Staunton State Park twice a week. Also have an XL crate if your dog is crate trained. Mine were not and spent their time next to me on the couch. I also have several dog beds in the bedroom.

A typical day
Enjoying walks twice daily, hikes in nearby Staunton State Park often. Several dog toys to enjoy, and a safe fenced yard to chase the balls. Lots of personal attention on the couch!
