Loving care away from home!
I have loved several german shepherds and labradors over the years. We enjoyed doing obedience classes and hiking many trails together. I also have a medical background and can manage meds.

Barbara is a very caring, patient, flexible, and accommodating host. She made our dog Max feel comfortable and right at home. She sent us daily updates during his stay and by the photos she sent we could tell Max was very happy and being well cared for. Barbara was Max’s first Rover boarding experience and we were unsure how he would cope being with a person he didn't know. But she made him feel right at home and was even considerate of Max’s nuances (Like barking at strangers, other dogs, and wanting to always be the alpha dog) max can be sweet, but he can also be a handful. She also made sure Max had balls and toys to play with during his stay. I highly recommend this host and will surely use her again in the future.
Barb routinely goes out of her way to make our Shepherd's stay away from home more of a canine retreat than a "boarding". Daily contact with pics demonstrates her devotion to giving us peace-of-mind while showing us the engagement & fun she is delivering to our beloved Okami. Okami (the GSD) adores her -- and THAT tells us everything we need to know! And those multi-vitamins!!!!!!!!
Indy had a wonderful stay with Barb. Lots of loving care and exercise. Will definitely book with her again.

Barbara is incredible! She is so understanding and kind. Bucky was very anxious when getting settled and she was so patient with him. Cant recommend her enough.

Schedule
I am retired from nursing and spend most of my time @ home reading/quilting. I have recently lost both my dogs to cancer, but my days were enjoyed focusing on their walks and play time.

I have a fenced yard (5' tall) and always accompanied my dogs outside. We also went for walks twice daily. They enjoyed hikes in nearby Staunton State Park twice a week. Also have an XL crate if your dog is crate trained. Mine were not and spent their time next to me on the couch. I also have several dog beds in the bedroom.
