Let Me Care for Your Dogs!
I'm an active foster with Animal Humane and a lifelong dog owner. Last year I lost my soul dog, and while nothing replaces that bond, I've found real meaning in opening my home to dogs who need extra care and patience — through fostering, and now through caring for yours. I know how to read a dog's comfort level, build trust quickly, and adjust to what each individual dog needs, whether that's an active play schedule or a calm, steady routine. Your dog will be loved and looked after like family.

Ratings and reviews
Honestly, I am extremely picky and anxious about leaving my dogs with anyone new, but Barbara completely put me at ease. From day one, you could just tell how much she genuinely loves animals. Her energy is amazing! She watched our two dogs multiple times now and always sends daily picture updates, which completely saved my sanity while away. They were so well cared for and spoiled. At this point, we won't let anyone else watch them—Barbara is officially the only person we'll use!

A typical day
I'm an experienced dog lover offering [walks, drop-in visits, and boarding — adjust based on which services you're actually offering] for dogs of all ages, sizes, and energy levels. Whether your pup needs a brisk walk to burn off energy, a calm midday check-in, or a comfortable place to stay while you're away, I treat every dog in my care like my own — with patience, attention, and genuine affection. My experience with dogs runs deep. I'm an active foster with Animal Humane, which means I regularly welcome dogs into my home who are adjusting to a new environment, still building trust, or working through the stress of transition. That's taught me to read a dog's comfort level quickly, meet them where they are, and create a calm, structured routine that helps them settle in. I'm also a lifelong dog owner myself, so I understand the small things that matter — feeding schedules, favorite toys, separation anxiety, and just knowing when a dog needs extra reassurance. I work independently from home, which gives me a flexible, consistent schedule and real availability throughout the day — I'm not squeezing visits in around a 9-to-5. That means your dog gets unhurried attention rather than a rushed drop-in, and I'm able to accommodate last-minute needs more easily than someone working a traditional office schedule. I take this responsibility seriously and treat it as more than a side gig — your dog's safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priority. At the same time, I genuinely love this work, and I think that shows in how I care for every dog I meet. I'd love the chance to meet you and your pup!

- Before we meet, it helps me care for your dog well if you can share a few key details: any medical conditions or medications, food allergies or dietary needs, behavioral quirks (fear of loud noises, reactivity to other dogs, separation anxiety), favorite activities or toys, and any commands or routines they're used to. The more I know upfront, the more comfortable and safe your dog will feel with me.
