Welcome to Bailie’s Pet Retreat. A cozy, in home boarding experience where dogs are treated like part of our family. With 28 years of experience caring for dogs of different breeds, ages, sizes, personalities, and needs, I understand that great boarding is about much more than simply providing a place to stay. My goal is for your dog to feel safe, comfortable, loved, and genuinely excited to come back. Our home sits on private country acreage in Kingston Springs, giving our guests the opportunity to enjoy fresh air, nature walks, wooded surroundings, and plenty of enrichment while still having all the comforts of home. I intentionally keep our care personal. Every dog is different, so I adapt their stay around their normal routine, personality, energy level, and comfort. Some pups want adventures and playmates. Others would much rather curl up somewhere cozy and stay close to me. Both are perfectly welcome here. For dogs who need a little more peace and quiet, we also have The Garden Suite, a dedicated retreat that provides a comfortable space away from the activity of the main house. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of building long term relationships with many wonderful dogs and their families. Nothing makes me happier than seeing a pup recognize where they are when they arrive and become excited to come back for another stay. My goal is simple: you enjoy your time away while your dog enjoys a little vacation of their own. Meet & Greets and tours are always available upon request. 💛

I had a great experience with Bailie! I needed a last minute sitter for my 2 dogs and had never used Rover before; she made drop off and pick up easy and stress free. I felt really comfortable with my dogs being there and they seem like they had a great time! I will definitely book with her again!

Bailie was very communicative and accommodating. It was our pup’s first time away from us for an extended stay, and we were at ease with him in her care. Had zero worries with Bailie and it was the first time I’d ever booked with her. She had both my golden retrievers stay 5+ days and she was amazing communicating and sending photos each day. Schedule
Pet care is a major part of my everyday routine, not something I squeeze in around another schedule. Our days typically begin early with morning potty breaks and outdoor time. Throughout the day, our guests rotate between walks, supervised play, enrichment, relaxation, and plenty of individual attention. I’m able to adapt the day around the dogs currently staying with me. Puppies and high energy guests naturally need more activity and supervision, while seniors and lower energy pups may prefer shorter outings and more time relaxing. Evenings are intentionally quieter so everyone has an opportunity to settle down, get comfortable, and rest. We finish the night with one last potty break before bedtime.

Safety, trust & environment
Safety is always my first priority. I take time to learn about every dog’s personality, routine, medical needs, triggers, play style, and comfort level before their stay. Dogs are supervised carefully, and I do not assume that every dog needs or wants to interact with every other guest. Personalities and energy levels are taken into consideration when deciding how dogs spend their time. When a pup needs space, quiet time, or simply a break from the excitement, we have multiple areas available to comfortably separate and decompress. Our Garden Suite also provides a dedicated retreat for dogs who benefit from a calmer environment. I have experience caring for puppies, adult dogs, seniors, anxious pups, and dogs requiring additional attention or medication. Owners are always encouraged to share as much information as possible about their dog’s normal routine and behavior. The more I know about your pup, the better I can make their stay feel familiar and comfortable.

A typical day
A day at Bailie’s Pet Retreat is designed to have a nice balance of adventure, play, attention, and rest. Mornings start with potty breaks and fresh air, followed by breakfast according to each dog’s normal feeding routine. Throughout the day, depending on the weather and the individual dog, guests may enjoy walks around our country property, exploring wooded areas, supervised outdoor play, enrichment activities, toys, or simply hanging out with us. Rest is just as important as play. Dogs are given plenty of opportunities throughout the day to decompress, nap, and have their own space. As evening approaches, things begin to quiet down. After dinner, everyone gets another opportunity for outdoor time before settling in for the evening. We finish our day with a final nighttime potty break before everyone gets tucked in. No two dogs are exactly alike, so no two stays have to look exactly alike either. I do my best to maintain your dog’s familiar routines while giving them a fun little vacation of their own.
