I am very familiar with crate training, and personally am crate training my German Shepherd Puppy. I use crates like a crib, when I cannot watch my puppy 100%, she goes in her crate where she is safe and cannot be destructive. I will follow any specific rules/routines your dog is used to and is familiar with.
