I work from home with a flexible schedule structured around the standard workday. Drop-off window is 7-9am; pickup window is 5-7pm — designed to match your work commute. During the day your dog gets yard time, walks, indoor play, supervised rest, and constant companionship. For drop-in visits and walks, I serve a tight radius around Montclare to keep response times short. Meet-and-greets are flexible and free.

Your dog spends the day in our quiet single-family home with a fully fenced yard for safe supervised off-leash play. With no other pets in the home, your dog receives undivided attention without the stress of resource guarding or scuffles. A calm indoor space provides rest and decompression between play sessions. We require current vaccinations (rabies, DHPP, Bordetella) from all guests for everyone's safety, and emergency vet contacts plus your treatment authorization are kept on file from the first day.

Before our first visit, please share: your dog's feeding schedule and food brand, any medications and doses, behavioral notes (anxiety, reactivity, escape history, resource guarding around food or toys), your dog's typical energy level, and your emergency vet contact information. I currently prefer non-reactive, well-socialized adult dogs while I build my client base. I'm always happy to host a free meet-and-greet so you can show me your home, and we can discuss your dog's specific routine and any concern.
A typical day
Each drop-in visit is tailored to your dog's energy and your instructions. A typical 30-minute visit includes a walk for fresh air and a bathroom break, fresh water and any scheduled feeding, indoor playtime with their favorite toys to burn off energy, and quiet companionship — belly rubs, gentle brushing, or just hanging out so your dog isn't alone during the workday. You'll receive photo and text updates after every visit so you know exactly how your dog is doing while you're away.

I have over 20 years of personal experience caring for dogs and am committed to daily photo updates and personalized care for every guest.

I can’t say enough good things about Jacob and the way he cares for dogs. I’ve trusted him with my own dog, and he truly treated her like she was his own. She had some special needs, and he never once made it feel like it was “too much.” He carefully followed her special diet, helped give her medications, bathed her with the medicated shampoo our vet recommended, and when she got sick, he even helped with toileting and changing her diaper with so much patience, kindness, and dignity. What means the most to me is that he doesn’t just “watch” dogs—he genuinely connects with them and makes them feel safe, loved, and cared for.
