Caring for Cat Fams in Austin Area
I have lived in a multi-cat household all my life ranging from 2-9 cats. Maintaining a happy clowder has always been a big priority in my life and has brought me much joy. As a child, my neighbors knew I loved cats because I could frequently be found playing with the outdoor cats, which led to caring for their cats while away starting at the age of 9. I enjoy educating myself on all things cat and utilize that knowledge in my home and drop-ins. I am fascinated by their social behavior and find I tend to understand them better than I do humans. I have fostered kitten litters, as well as adopted senior cats with special needs. I've cared for several of my cats from a few weeks old kitten to end of life. I have a male cat who struggles with urinary blockages, so I am familiar with the symptoms to watch for and importance of litterbox use. I will clean litter boxes every visit. I am comfortable with automated feeders and litterboxes, and don't mind giving a traditional litterbox a good scoop. I firmly believe in play/hunting then meal time to leave your cat(s) feeling satisfied after my visit. Cats have taught me patience, and I will go at their pace. I utilize blinking to show I am not challenging them, slow movement, and a quiet demeanor to avoid alarming them. I am always open to learning more and welcome any special requests and hearing about knowledge/tips you've picked up.

Safety, trust & environment
I have 7 indoor cats, so I am familiar with being quick about going in and out of doors and not leaving escape exits. For cats, I like to play/hunt before meal time to meet their instinctual needs. I understand cats can be shy and will go at their pace with getting to know eachother. If they're feeling up for it, I'll cuddle and chill with them, or have a conversation. I clean litterboxes daily to make sure ins and outs are normal. Photos of food and water levels will be provided so you can, also monitor while away.

As always, Ayden, has been a superb sitter for our cat and a new kitten! They both loved him! Ayden always accounted for their eating habits. He always changed his waters, and cleaned their litter boxes. He always inquired and clarified if there were any questions. We appreciated how easy it is to communicate with Ayden. Schedule
I am available week days and weekends and can accommodate both traditional and non-traditional schedules. Because this is my profession I have flexibility in my schedule for last minute arrangements and understand life happens for cancellations.
