I have lived in a multi-cat household all my life ranging from 2-9 cats. Maintaining a happy clowder has always been a big priority in my life and has brought me much joy. As a child, my neighbors knew I loved cats because I could frequently be found playing with the outdoor cats, which led to caring for their cats while away starting at the age of 9. I enjoy educating myself on all things cat and utilize that knowledge in my home and drop-ins. I am fascinated by their social behavior and find I tend to understand them better than I do humans. I have fostered kitten litters, as well as adopted senior cats with special needs. I've cared for several of my cats from a few weeks old kitten to end of life. I have a male cat who struggles with urinary blockages, so I am familiar with the symptoms to watch for and importance of litterbox use. I will clean litter boxes every visit. I am comfortable with automated feeders and litterboxes, and don't mind giving a traditional litterbox a good scoop. I firmly believe in play/hunting then meal time to leave your cat(s) feeling satisfied after my visit. Cats have taught me patience, and I will go at their pace. I utilize blinking to show I am not challenging them, slow movement, and a quiet demeanor to avoid alarming them. I am always open to learning more and welcome any special requests and hearing about knowledge/tips you've picked up.
