Hello from your neighbor in Hyde Park~ I have been pet-sitting my friends' and family's dogs and cats for well over ten years now. For the past three years, I have been pet-sitting my friend's cat Kuna. I love mimicking her meows, brushing her, holding her, and watching her nibble on her chow and treats. Time and familiarity do matter, so I like to let a new cat friend set the tone for our physical contact. I'm happy to offer as much or as little touch/play as your cat is comfortable with. If your kitty is not too keen on any attention, then I will make sure to offer plenty of space while offering a calm presence. When I was babysitting in my undergraduate years, I often cared for the family's older cat by following her dietary restrictions and medication schedule. For the past four years, I've also provided care for my friend's dog who has a particular diet and medication requirements. If your cat(s) have medical needs and/or physical ailments that require extra attention, I will make sure to offer care in a conscientious and compassionate manner. If you are interested in booking me for drop-ins, I like to have a video chat with you and your cat(s) just to ask some overview questions and get a feel for each other. I have a very grounded personality, and like to take things slow at first so that your pet(s) can lead the way in our interactions. I let them communicate in their own ways, and I find out how to communicate with them in the ways that they are receptive to. I will ask a lot of questions when we first meet to make sure that I'm offering the best care for your pet(s).

Ayanna was fantastic! She put my shy cats at ease and went above and beyond with them and provided great updates with pictures and videos.
We were extremely happy with Ayanna's care for our older cat. She was very affectionate, kind and attentive to him. She also followed our directions regarding his medications and all aspects of his care. We couldn't be happier and came home to a calm, contented cat.
Ayanna was the perfect pick for my boy’s first Rover! She provided many excellent photos and videos with each visit along with details on his mood, energy level, what he was up to, etc. She was super friendly, easy going, and just as chill as my old man. Highly recommend her stellar sitting services!
Ayanna has cared for our two kitties multiple times. She’s the only sitter we trust on Rover! She plays with my kitties every day (multiple times) and even wakes up early to accommodate their feeding schedule. She’s trustworthy, sweet and an animal lover through and through. We love our sitter Ayanna!
Ayanna took great care of my 2 cats! She was very responsive, sent videos to check how she gave my cat medication, and lots of photos, I’ll definitely be booking again!

Schedule
I'm a graduate student at the University of Chicago, so my schedule is built around my classes and my internship during the weekdays. On weekends, your pet(s) will have my attention around the clock.
