Please note that on weekdays, I can only accept house-sitting requests for pets that are comfortable being left alone during the day, as I work an 8-hour shift from Monday to Friday. If you live in the View Royal, Gorge–Tillicum, or Uptown area, I may be able to stop by for a quick check-in or potty break during my 1-hour lunch break. I’m an animal lover—especially dogs! I moved to Canada from Japan and have been living here for over 10 years. I have over 20 years of experience working with young children in both Japan and Canada, and I have continued working with children throughout my career. I’m a caring and responsible person who enjoys spending time with animals and children. I used to work as a live-in nanny for a few years, and the family I worked with had a very sweet 10-year-old female Golden Retriever. Although caring for her wasn’t part of my duties, I loved walking her, playing with her, and feeding her. She followed me everywhere I went and often slept on my bed with me. The time I spent with her is truly a treasure to me. The family also temporarily adopted a 4-month-old female German Shepherd puppy, so I took care of her along with the Golden Retriever. I looked after these two dogs while also caring for two little girls and managing the household, so it was a lot of work and not always easy—but the joy I got from them was completely worth it. Since my current home doesn’t allow pets, I haven’t had many opportunities to spend time with dogs, which I really miss. Animals make my life so much happier and sweeter!
