Thanks for checking out my profile! Please note that on weekdays, I can only accept house-sitting requests for pets that are comfortable being left alone during the day, as I work an 8-hour shift from Monday to Friday. If you live in the View Royal, Gorge–Tillicum, or Uptown area, I may be able to stop by for a quick check-in or potty break during my 1-hour lunch break. I’m an animal lover—especially dogs! I moved to Canada from Japan and have been living here for over 10 years. I have over 20 years of experience working with young children in both Japan and Canada, and I have continued working with children throughout my career. I’m a caring and responsible person who enjoys spending time with animals and children. I used to work as a live-in nanny for a few years, and the family I worked with had a very sweet 10-year-old female Golden Retriever. Although caring for her wasn’t part of my duties, I loved walking her, playing with her, and feeding her. She followed me everywhere I went and often slept on my bed with me. The time I spent with her is truly a treasure to me. The family also temporarily adopted a 4-month-old female German Shepherd puppy, so I took care of her along with the Golden Retriever. I looked after these two dogs while also caring for two little girls and managing the household, so it was a lot of work and not always easy—but the joy I got from them was completely worth it. Since my current home doesn’t allow pets, I haven’t had many opportunities to spend time with dogs, which I really miss. Animals make my life so much happier and sweeter! I enjoy pet sitting anytime they need my care. Thank you for reading my profile all the way through! I look forward to meeting new cute, furry friends!

I always communicate clearly with clients and keep them updated with photos and videos while caring for their dogs or cats. I make sure to double-check with the client about any special instructions, such as whether the dog is friendly with other dogs or children, or if it tends to chase small animals, and so on.

Aya is a wonderful person to take care of your pet! she was kind, communicative and made sure my dog got all the care she needed.
Aya was fabulous with my sweet, anxious cat, Evie. On their very first day together, Aya had Evie out of hiding and playing with her favourite feather toy - an amazing achievement! She made sure that Evie received her medication and her puffer on schedule, and she sent me updates - along with photos and videos of Evie - every day, without fail. Evie was happy and relaxed the whole time I was away, which gave me great peace of mind. Aya took as much care of my home as she did of Evie, and I couldn’t recommend her highly enough!!
Aya was wonderful! She is communicative, friendly and clearly a dog lover! She sent me lots of photos and video updates and I could enjoy my weekend away knowing Cora was safe and relaxed! My home was pristine when I returned. Thank you Aya!

Aya was absolutely amazing with our 2 beagles. She gave us lots of updates on how they were doing and they both looked very happy when we came home. I will absolutely be booking Aya for our next trip.

Schedule
I’m pretty flexible with all pet-sitting services during the summer. From September to June, however, my availability is limited since I work full-time as a preschool teacher. On weekdays, I can accept house-sitting requests only for dogs that can be left alone during the day. My regular work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
