I have taken care of dogs since I was able to drive. I have grown up around them and have pet sat for multiple family friends at least once a year. I have done some therapy dog training in middle school and have carried that with me when interacting with new pets.

Safety, trust & environment
I believe smell and actions are important on first meetings. I am very gentle and will always let them smell me before I attempt to pet or play. Not all animals are trusting of people and I believe slow and steady does the trick. I lived with a Blind Shih Tzu for 2 years and at first she was always shaky and scared of everything. By the time her owner moved out, she wasn’t even afraid of storms anymore as I was able to work with her and give her confidence.

Avery has been amazing with my cats and takes such good care of them. Would highly recommend her to anyone wanting someone to give their pets lots of TLC while they’re gone.

Schedule
I am attending Normandale to complete my prerequisites in order to attend Pharmacy school at the University of Minnesota. Having a flexible schedule allows me to make sure I have time to get my work done. If your pet needs company, I am happy to sit and read a text book to them or play with them/take walks if I need a good break. As of fall 2026, I am only taking 2 classes which leaves plenty of time to come play with your fur baby!
