I work in education as a substitute teacher, which allows me to make my own schedule and gives me plenty of time to take care of everyone’s needs! If a dog can be left alone during the day, I prefer to work at the school when I can, but I’m also happy to take on dogs that need full time care! My dog Jasper is pretty low energy so we go on a few short walks for regular potty breaks throughout the day and try to make a trip to Wiggly Field at least once a week. We also have a smaller dog park in our apartment complex and several doggie friends and neighbors who would be happy to socialize with new pups!

When it comes to care, your dogs specific needs come first. I will want to make sure I have an idea of the typical routine and any special requests to make your pup feels at home. Jasper is kennel trained and can be locked into a separate room if needed to help the new dog feel more comfortable exploring, but he is very friendly and can also be part of the welcoming committee for dogs more open to that!

As an absolutely must I need to know any allergies or medication needs your dog has so we can keep them healthy and thriving during their visit. I would appreciate knowing what energy level to expect from your dog, the breed mix, and what kind of temperament they have around other dogs. Any routines they have with feeding or bedtime. As an added bonus I’d love to know what kind of toys are their favorites so we can engage them in play they’ll enjoy!
A typical day
We have a ton of toys at the house to mentally stimulate and work the dogs in addition to outdoor play, things like lick mats and puzzle feeders to enrich their day! I also love to work on tricks and training with dogs, and can happily drill any tricks your working on or teach your pup a new one!

I’ve grown up around animals my whole life and have care experiences ranging from horses to goldfish! Currently, I have one large breed mix whom me and my partner both adore and dote on.
