ABOUT STAYS & SCHEDULE We welcomed our first baby in October and I’m now accepting new and returning clients on a part-time basis. Baby will be accompanying me most of the time — I see this as a wonderful way to stay active, get out of the house, and spend quality time with sweet pups (plus enjoy a few mini adventures together!). We’re a very active family, and I have baby carriers for every occasion, which makes it easy to stay fully hands-on with walks, playtime, and routines while keeping little one close. My schedule is flexible, and when I commit to a stay, I truly settle in. I treat my time in your home as a staycation — I’m there the vast majority of the day aside from normal errands and walks. Su casa es mi casa 😉

Safety, trust & environment
MY APPROACH I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet — and your home — in someone else’s care, and I take that responsibility seriously. Creating a calm, safe, and loving environment is always my top priority. Pets truly get all my love. I was a nanny for several years and am now a new mom, so I bring the same patience, attentiveness, and nurturing approach to animals — focusing on engagement, enrichment, and meeting each pet where they’re at emotionally. Whether I’m caring for pets in your home or mine, I strive to maintain their normal routines as closely as possible while providing companionship, play, and comfort.

Information Avery C. would like to know about your pet
WHAT I’LL ASK ABOUT YOUR PET To provide the best care possible, I love to learn as much as I can about your pet ahead of time, including: • Any special needs or medications • Diet, feeding routines, or restrictions • How they are around other animals (both on leash with dogs and around cats, since I have two) • Favorite comforts — treats, toys, parks, or routines • Their usual walking/activity/play schedule and how long they’re comfortable being alone • Any commands they know And any other information you’d like to share — the more the better, in my opinion. 🙂
A typical day
Every pet is different — some pups prefer cozy days at home, while others love getting out to their favorite parks or having extra playtime. I tailor each day to what helps your pet feel most comfortable and at ease. Whether that looks like walks, backyard play, enrichment, quiet companionship, or just sticking close to their usual routine, my goal is always to normalize their time with me so they feel safe, happy, and relaxed. The same approach applies to cats — meeting them where they’re at, with plenty of affection, play, or peaceful hangout time.

Staycation-Style Live-In Sitter ✨
Pet care experience
HELLO & HOW I CARE 🐾 I provide true staycation-style, live-in pet care. When I stay in your home, I genuinely settle in and am home the majority of the day — often not leaving at all (aside from walks or pet-related outings) — so your pets receive calm, consistent presence rather than being alone for long stretches. I’m a stay-at-home mom, and my baby may accompany me during stays (with your comfort and approval, of course). This simply means I’m home-centered, settled, and fully present — your pets become part of our peaceful little routine. MY BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE I’ve been caring for animals my entire life and bring a wide range of hands-on experience to every pet I work with. I’ve worked full-time on a horse farm, have extensive experience with senior and large-breed dogs, and care for chickens (poultry/fowl) and goats on our homestead as part of my daily life. I’ve also spent years rehabilitating injured and orphaned wildlife. In my 20s, I worked at a vet clinic, so I’m comfortable administering medications and can provide subcutaneous fluids/IV on cats when needed. Throughout my life I’ve had dogs, cats, and small animals of my own, and I have a deep interest in animal behavior, rehabilitation, and enrichment — along with plenty of cuddles and snoot boops. 🙂 Long story short: animals receive attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely loving care with me. I currently have two cats, Leif and Huck, and am always happy for any opportunity to spend time caring for other pets and animals. Thank you for your consideration!
Reviews
Cannot say enough great things about Avery and the care she has provided to our dogs. Lacy and Duke love her and we do too!

Avery was absolutely fantastic in looking after my two cats whilst I was out of town! She made sure they were fed, watered and played with and kept me up to date with super sweet report cards. Would absolutely recommend, and my cats have told me to go on vacation MORE!

Avery was super! Sent updates and kept us in the loop. Our dog had a blast with her and she took great care of our home.

Avery is an amazing dog sitter! She stayed with our two elderly pups, both of which needed some meds, and I never worried a bit. It’s hard to describe what a relief it is to find such a kind, communicative and responsible person for our pups. Highly recommend!
