Hi there, I'm Avery. I am a professional pet sitter, fine artist (painter and photographer) and yoga & wellness instructor. I truly adore pets and all animals and find pet sitting to be the perfect way to spend time with new pets and meet loving pet owners in my community. I recently spent 4 years working and studying in France where I continued to pet and house sit for French pet owners and expats alike. As a pet owner myself, I know how nerve racking it can be to leave your pet while you're away. With over 6 years of professional experience as well as a lifetime of pet care growing up around all types of animals, I can assure you much needed peace of mind. With reliable and fluid communication (expect many photo updates), loving pet care, and the utmost attention to whatever special needs your pet requires, you'll have nothing to worry about. A bit more about me: I grew up in the hills of the Bluegrass, Kentucky with Saint Bernards, Rotties, Great Danes, cats, fish, hamsters - you name it! I started professionally sitting over 6 years ago in Austin, TX, where I set up my own side business. I continued in New Orleans where I had lived for nearly 8 years (including graduating from Tulane) as well as most recently in Aix-en-Provence, France, where I was pursuing a fine arts degree at the master level. I cherish being outdoors, taking walks every day, going to Audubon and City Park, etc. and will be happy to have your pups along with me. Pets are loved like family, and that's exactly how I will treat yours. Schedule wise, as an artist and photographer, I work from home daily and have a flexible schedule, my own pet-friendly vehicle, and a friendly, mature attitude and dedicated work ethic.
