Before my senior dog passed, I had the house baby proofed for his safety. I provide as many walks a day as needed, with plenty of sniff time. I always pick up and properly dispose of waste. I prefer to keep dogs on their leashes during walks to ensure their safety. During the summer, I am lenient with walk times due to heat and am open to providing additional shorter walks to avoid overheating. I also avoid wearing perfumes or other scented products when meeting a new animal. In a new space, I will allow the pet to have autonomy and explore their surrounding on their own so they can become more comfortable.
