I am currently a university student at UofA studying Environmental-Civil Engineering. I am working on a co-op term until the end of August. I have flexibility to work from home if you would prefer me to stay home with your pet/s. After work all my attention will be on your furry family. I love to go out for walks in Hawrelak park or around new neighbourhoods and enjoy being active rain or shine!

I’d also like to know about feeding schedules, daily exercise needs, and any medications or special care requirements. Talking through what a typical day looks like for them and any routines or habits they’re accustomed to is key. My goal is to keep your pet as comfortable, happy, and relaxed as possible while you’re away, so the more I know, the better!
A typical day
Lots of fun, tailored to your pet’s personality and energy level! I love playing fetch, tug-of-war, hide-and-seek with treats, and practicing tricks for some extra mental stimulation. For active dogs, I’m happy to go on longer walks, multiple walks a day, or visits to the dog park. I love to visit new dog parks and walking trails. For pets who prefer a slower pace, I’m just as happy spending time snuggling on the couch, reading a book, and working on a crochet project. Whether your pet is an adventurer or a professional cuddler, I’ll make sure they have a great time and get plenty of attention while you’re away.

Pet care experience
I have grown up with dogs and cats my entire life and am well versed in the care and effort they require. I have dog/house sat for multiple families with a variety of dogs (including large breeds, seniors and special needs) on multiple occasions. I have also recently trained my own puppy (lab, golden retriever cross) who is just over 4 years old now.

Ava was excellent! She was quick and easy to communicate with and she took great care of our boys while we were exploring Sicamous and the Wineries! Would love to have her again when we return for another vacation! Highly recommend.
We were so thankful to have Ava housesit our dog Buddy and cat Bear while we were away for a few days! She was very kind, her communication was excellent, and she obviously cares a lot about animals and making your pets feel loved. Will absolutely book her again and would recommend her to anyone else!
Ava stayed in my house and looked after my two dogs while I went for a couple of nights to Canmore. Everything was great! She was super communicative and sent me pictures to let me know the girls were doing just fine :) And the house was spotless when I arrived back home! I felt very comfortable having her in my home to watch the dogs and would 100% book again and recommend her! Thanks Ava!!
I was nervous to leave for a night without my dogs. Ava had fantastic communication while we were away and kept me up to date. When I came home my puppies were happy and seemed to be at ease. Unfortunately she had to deal with my dog making a mess, and she dealt with it without any hesitation and was understanding. 10/10 Would recommend!
